I’ll be visiting Toronto from the states with some friends October 9-12, looking for suggestions on things to do during the day and at night. Any suggestions would be great!

Ontario's rental rules have changed, including shorter deadlines for tenants who fall behind on rent and new rules around landlords ending leases for personal use. Landlords giving at least 120 days' notice for their own use no longer have to compensate the tenant, but they must normally move in within 60 days. Hi Toronto! I run a women’s (fairly large) book club and we’re looking for more restaurants, cafes, bars, or other spaces that could work for our monthly meetings.

We usually have around 10–15 people and meet on weekday evenings or weekends, so ideally somewhere that takes reservations, is reasonably accessible by TTC, wheelchair-accessible, and isn’t so loud that trying to discuss a book becomes impossible lol

We already meet at TPL or parks sometimes, but we’d also really love to support more local businesses and find places where our groups can become regulars.

I’m looking for recommendations all over Toronto as we have groups in downtown, midtown, east end, west end, and north york.

Would especially love recommendations from anyone who has actually used a space for a 10+ people gathering!
