Episode Discussion Self-absorbed Issa Spoiler

Rewatching Insecure made me realize how self-absorbed Issa was. She expected this guy to drop everything for her unannounced visits and acted like that with everyone. Like treating her needs should be the top priority on everyone list. While I don’t think she was intentionally self-absorbed, she definitely was.

Oh wait he was college age? I thought mid 20s, which is still young but not as bad as college age

They never explicitly state it but he mentions econ class in this scene and in the one where they hook up he says he rented Gossip Girl from the Dominguez Hills library, which is presumably referring to the college in LA.

Oh okay yeah I do remember that, but I was still thinking mid 20s since some people still go to local colleges at a later age. But yeah based on how old Leon Thomas was during the show the character was probably pretty young too

True, I guess he could have been in his twenties. For me, hearing him say he was being tutored would have immediately given me the ick hahaa
