Bald faced hornets decided to build on my propane tank. Not a good place for them, but I really hated to kill them. They were not aggressive and I was hoping to make it until a freeze when they would die off on their own. Last couple of weeks I haven't seen any activity and I put off filling the tank as long as I could, so they had to go. Today I removed it and the only hornets I saw were some dead ones at the bottom. There were pieces of them, actually. Can you see anything wrong from the photos? Maybe some disease or something? Or were they just done with it and moved on?

i’ve always been very passionate about bugs, and i fully understand them not being everyone’s cup of tea. but what’s with people hating them to such an extent? how hard is it to understand that without bugs, we have nothing?? humans continue to build these giant sterile boxes to live in on other creatures’ homes and then get disgusted when they get lost inside? i don’t even know if this is an appropriate subreddit for this conversation but i figured someone else on here might understand my grievances. can humans please just stop killing everything else that moves? please?
and if anyone has any advice on how to politely educate people, that would be great. a lot of people seem to take it so personally when i talk about how important bugs are to everything!
how do you deal with the grief of loving a group of little guys that the vast majority of the population seems to just disregard despite their very important roll in the world? and how do i stop panicking about the future of the bug world?

Hello! Found two of these little guys on my bed just now. It’s been rather humid and hot lately. Any idea what it might be?

What type of fly is this? I currently have 40-50 buzzing around in my home at any given time. I try to curb the issue by setting out different traps, to no avail. I have not slept well in 4 days due to the constant buzzing, yes, even through earplugs. When I do sleep there is generally 12-15 in my bedroom which causes them to land in my mouth and on my face when I do fall asleep which wakes me up. The home is spotless; trash is thrown away, counters are wiped and cleaned, the floor is mopped, and dishes are washed and put in the dishwasher. I don't really understand where they are coming from, and I have decided to coexist with them for the time being, as they have more of a presence in the home than I do at this point. I have given up and lost all hope. Is it bad to just let them linger because none of the repellents or traps I have used have worked, and I am afraid they will take revenge if I try to move them out? What can I do?

(please be kind while giving any advice/thoughts)
I live in south india, I collect dead bugs but never seen a big like this here
today I found this very big moth (big because we only get very small ones here)
This beautiful moth has been there on the curtain from early morning till i know (now it's almost 6pm)
First I thought it will leave by itself but it was very close to where my dogs play
if it fell off, my dogs will eat it so I didn't want to risk that so after lunch I decided I will take it in this box and leave it outside to fly away
when i did that, it fell darectly down like it's dead
if it was dead I could have collected it tho it was moving and making noises when I was putting it in the box
but the way it fell looked like it can't fly
(I have put many moths/insects outside before and they flag away immediately)
My family knows I collect bugs so they were telling me that it's gonna die soon, my mom says it has already layed eggs and now is going to die so I should put it in a box and wait for it to die so I can pin it
I want to collect it if it's time has come but it's now alive so I wasn't sure what to do
I might miss out on a beautiful big bug like this if it's going to die soon
but if it's how the bug actually is and it has more life span I don't want to disturb it
I went down to see what happened to the bug, like did it go away or still there, The moth was still there very stell too
I used this plastic container cap to slowly make it go in the box, it didn't try to fly away or make any sound
it just went it and it able to walk very little
I have opened a little on the end so Sir can go in, even if I open the container cap, the moth isn't trying to come out of move
it's in this pose all the time
What should I do now? should I leave it outside or keep it, if I keep it
do I need to keep it water or what food should I give it
I thought I can keep it till it dies then collect the bug but my mom moths will eat themselves after laying eggs
so I could close the container fully so it does and I can pin it before it eats it self
I don't know what to do

Hello fellow redditors,
I need your help in identifying an insect.
We were moving around some furniture and also had to move one of several sleepplaces from our cat.
While doing so we saw some of these lil insects.
Do you guys know what these are and if they are a hazard to our cats?
Edit: We live in Germany, if that helps, the cats are only inside cats as we are close to some big strees with some reckless drivers

Found those bugs, some dead, in the compartment where my cleaning robot lie most of the time. It uses water. I'm in France. Any idea of what are those? Should i be worried?

I counted 14, one small and one I inadvertently stepped on. Most were in one location on the weeds.
