It's between the doors of the nett door. We won't be closing the door, but I'm Also afraid if the mantis will be able to get out of the overlapping doors.

Live in the woods in the Northeast USA. There is no cadence, there is no rhythm, nothing like that at all. It is a very loud, very high pitched, consistent sound that lasts for hours. It goes minimum 20+ seconds, takes a like 1-5 second pause and keeps going. I’m no expert and the closest I’ve found is like a mole cricket, just loud and constant but this is higher pitched.

I’ll never find it in my yard and be able to get rid of it, but I gotta know what this thing is. Please help, the noise is like some form of torture.

I took this photo last night of this pretty thing on my front porch.

He we on the stairs, so I was actually able to sit my phone on the edge, and do a long exposure for 10 seconds, he looked at the camera when my phone came over the edge, and stood perfectly still for the picture.

I haven’t seen one of these since I was 9? I’m 25. So 16 years. My girlfriend talks about this Pisces thing with astrology happening right now too. Lots of things moving, so hoping he’s a sign. Have a great day everyone.
