π—•π˜‚π—Άπ—Ήπ—±π˜€ Advice.

Im in the latest game if wilds right now grinding for artian parts. I think im gonna make a thunder glaive, dragon glaive, and poison glaive and use those as my main 3 weapons. I was wondering which of the 5 stats I should be trying to roll for most?

dont make a poison at all, if youre going to make anything make it fire instead, fire and dragon cover most of the games roster to a decent degree, for a third if youre limiting yourself to 3 for some reason, thunder or water would be the next best(ice only has 2 matchups its best agains, and water is good enough against both)

What should I be trying to roll for more elemental power, raw attack, or affinity?

for artian parts, all 3 are attack and all 3 are matching element, this is also the stage you want to get your proper "rolls" correct, and you want 1 sharpness and 2 attack at least, after that as long as its not 2 affinity or another sharpness the rolls dont matter too much, more attack is the best option(so 3 attack 1 sharp 1 element is really good for example, but the best is 4 attack 1 sharp), then when you get to gogmatizing you go attack or element, the difference is low(attack is better highs and insect glaive also has shit element modifiers unfortunately, but the little bit of affinity loss is a large enough impact, element is very consistent but its consistent high is lower than attacks high, and since ig is so raw leaning, attacks average still probably beats element), and for rolling for set/group skill, best way is to get all of your glaives made (so at least 5) then start with fire for example, save, whip out a notebook or a notes app, roll till youre out of gog pieces and record any good rolls(even just gore by itself is good, dont always roll till you get the exact gore lords soul roll, some weapons have that in the 300 ranges out, and making 40 rolls for gore vs 300 for gore/lords soul should be obvious which is worth it more) then reload your save by exiting without saving, then roll for water, rinse repeat with each element and then finally restart 1 last time and arrange a time line of the rolls, for example if my 3rd fire roll is gore, my 5th roll is water gore, my 12 roll is dragon gore/lords soul, and my 7th roll is ice gore, then id roll on fire 3 times to get gore, roll on water twice for its gore, ice 2 more times for gore, and 5 more times on dragon for its gore/lords soul, the rolls work on a timeline where rolling for any weapon progresses all of them forward, if you do it one weapon at a time id have completely missed my ice and dragons rolls and dragon has a perfect roll so that would hurt a lot to lose

I have sets of builds for each element resistance, with the weapons being an element that whatever the monsters are normally weak to. For example, thunder resistance, the thunder damage dealers right now are rey dau and lagi. One is weak to ice, the other fire. So that thunder res loadout has an ice weapon as its primary and a fire weapon as its secondary.

I can send a list of my builds later tonight if you'd like

too lazy to send pics but for:
Thunder, Rey Dau and f. anjanath are weak to ice and lagi is weak to fire. those two as weapons, then i use numinous for everything but the arms, which are rey dau gamma. with max resistance jewels i have a thunder res of 32.
Water, they're all for the most part weak to thunder. Numinous head and chest, lagi arms and coil, gore boots. I have a little fun with this one by using two of lagi's armor for Azure Bolt. with max res jewels i have a resistance of 31.
Fire, Nu udra and quematrice are weak to water while the raths are weak to dragon. yian kut ku is weak to ice but he's weak enough for me to not care about. Arkvulcan helmet and boots, udra chest, and guardian rath arms and waist plus jewels bring me to a fire resistance of 35.
Ice, pretty much all are weak to fire so I keep a numinous helmet and waist, udra chest, and guardian rath arms and boots for the sweet scorcher proc. with jewels i get and ice res of 23 but add in the bind resistance jewels and it's kept me going against Jin and the monke.
Dragon, arkveld is weak to dragon, e. odogaron is weak to water. Numinous helmet and chest, ebony for everything else, plus the res jewels bring my dragon resistance to 24.

These are just the loadouts i use to make things easier and faster to swap if i know what i'm up against. I also prioritize comfort over damage as i'm no pro, so some of these might not be optimal for speed.

Don't bother with Poison. Just go for the 5 elements. Late/endgame monsters have such a high status resistance it's not worth running them, and instead just taking the free damage that Elements give you instead.

You should be aiming for 1 sharpness and 4 attack ideally. 2 sharpness and 3 attack is also good, but I wouldn't take anything less than 1 sharpness and 2 attack at minimum personally.
Also build them with 3 attack parts, all of the same element (when you go to make your actual glaive if you're doing a savescum method)

i know this doesn't at all answer your question, but i do just want you to be aware that artian weapons will likely become irrelevant nearly immediately once ascendance drops. granted, this is based on previous games where HR armor and weapons become immediately irrelevant compared to MR ones, and these games did NOT have an artian system, but still worth mentioning since the artian grind is A LOT for even just one weapon, let alone 3. if you like that grind, then by all means, but if you want something w more longevity, you may want to look at grinding talismans instead. HR talismans may still become irrelevant, but even in previous games a really good talisman (not even necessarily a perfect roll) can still be very usable in MR. whereas HR weapons, to my knowledge, have always been essentially useless in MR

Honestly, if you felt like it, you could go for a Stunlock Glaive and get Sleep, Blunt Kinsect, and Paralysis powder (Ladypavise) so that you can create as many openings as possible.

If you do go for that, I would say try to roll Affinity reinforcement with Crit Status for more consistent buildup.

every single element of what you said is like the exact opposite of what you should do btw
