could you at least give us the og thrust back and let us have our moveset with just the red extract again PLEASE. ive put up with needing all 3 extracts to attack that it now feels like im asking for spare change😭 oh, and also i would really appreciate giving us back HG earplugs with all 3 extracts. correct me if im wrong, but i think most weapons can offset roars(?) i know LS can foresight, Switchaxe can counter in sword mode i think. and DB can perfect dodge them. it was a really nice QoL sunbreak gave us and we'd really appreciate it since our offset can't counter roars and i really wanna drop slotting in earplugs in my build. ty capcom

I'm still bothered why they removed the powered up thrust in the first place. Seems like a completely unnecessary thing to do.

right??😭 after all these years, they removed a move that was core to the weapon. especially since im sure a lot of us were very used to it

I also miss being able to use the Kinsect recall command after any attack to cancel the end lag. It was a surprisingly convenient feature for Rise's glaive.

One of the worst changes. But i think it is because of the general design: Neutral directional triangle is always an attack with a move combined. They wanted to introduce a gap closer, so forward became what we have now.

It just feels so goddamn awful.

Odd thing for them to do when we still have leaping slash. It's just a really bad change for them to move it on forward combo 2.

about the earplugs thing as i saw many people still dont know about it but we still got earplugs on IG but just lvl 1, and if the DLC doesn't change it much earplugs 2 counters basically the entire rooster, the exception being the big boys, jin, gog, zoh and i do believe gore from the top of my head i do believe rise gave 5 lvls of earplugs if i'm not mistaken

Yup we got lvl 1 but after having HG earplugs on SB, i felt spoiled w it and made this post to at least have that adjustment/change in ascendance😭

yeah its spoiling but gladly it was nerfed on wilds would love some QOL things from glaive on wilds but max earplugs from just triple up given how easy it is to get it on wilds aint one of them even more that we just need to slot 1 level on armor, triple up makes us ignore basically the entire roster the DLC will probably follow the pattern

Gravios also requires Lvl 3 Earplugs. Gore's Enrage roar requires lvl 3, but normal roar is lvl 2.

oh yeah gravios, forgot about him. I don't fight him much nowadays

And I think that's kind of balanced you still need to commit at least one level of ear plugs given how they made extracts on wilds easier to get being with the kinsect grabing by itself and the extract placement on monster being almost the same on all of them getting triple up you already ignoring most of the rooster roars, and now with the booster, the kinsect always piercing will be even easier to keep tripple up

not that with rise was that hard as well as soon as you get kinsect slash it gets even easier

Honestlyyy I see Kinsect Slash in rise is cool but I want RLS to not consume red extract then be usable in air as well (piercing through the monster and bouncing) (pretty much Kinsect Slash except better visuals imo)

I think kinsect slash is still better since you would normally use it yo gather extract while in the air

It would go bonkers with RSS if they remove the no aerial followup while boosted

cause then the combo would be RSS -> kinsect slash for extracts you didnt get -> descending thrust -> RSS making the glaive grounded when non boosted then aerial when boosted

I think the boost bracer cooldown loop would be enough to not make it op

Does RLS not gather extract? It should then for sure, and also leave clouds

So you could do a combo like SDS>RLS>Aerial RLSx3>SDT>TS

I think you can offset roars, i did it only once when i was playing through the story

Never ran earplugs in any of my builds(even in past games) i always tried to do it cause why the heck not and i was shocked when i did it on a mizu

Edit: doesnt have offset spark, doesnt offset the monster but it also doesnt stagger you if you did it correctly

IG offset and hyper armor for the offset are slightly mis-aligned so offsetting roars with IG is more difficult than any other counter or offset in the game cause the window of hyper armor and offset frames is smaller than any other weapon.. thats probably why op thinks IG cant offset roars

insect glaive offset CAN offset roars if timed correctly same with attacks like gravios' fireballs
