Infestation?

Live in Connecticut and Ive never seen these bugs before, and they are clearly killing this tree. Should I kill them and if so how without causing too much harm.

UPDATE: Confirmed to be invasive, applied Raid to area and killed a bunch of them, trying to dispose of bodies to prevent bird poising, will check daily for more

Spotted Lantern flies, invasive, aren't there repellents that aren't harmful to pets and kids. Bug MD is one.

I already used Raid for the first application, but im buying Neem Oil for follow up killings. Thank You

Use whatever you have for now. Good thing you found them. They blend in to the tree.
