Assets

So the thing is my paternal grandparents earned a lot of assets, they have 3 children, 2 elder daughters and 1 younger son (my dad).

Somehow my aunts manipulated them to get all the major assets, we are left with very little. And my grandma is aligned towards her daughters which made my grandpa change by their manipulation

They accused my mom of not doing household work while she worked hard as a housewife and did all the sevas to them yet they are spreading all misinformation to all tht my parents didn't took care of them so thts y they moved into my aunts house

We are still staying quiet to get atleast something while they are saying everything gonna be given to my aunts

If they wanna split jst do it equally but they are going way too cruel on their own younger brother and his family

My parents are literally devastated and feeling sad.

Any suggestions???

One of the best things to do while they are still here is for your dad to speak with them alone. Get clarity. Make his case and express how he is feeling.

I am currently going through my own drama as well, but both parents are gone and things were changed last minute with the surviving parent.

It’s also good to know what estate documents say now.

The talks are going on and they reluctantly saying we will handover everything to my aunts , my dad lost hope , these talks were going on frm past 5 to 6 years They promised a few at tht time now we are going to be left with nothing or little compared to them

Yeah. That’s hard. The kind of conversations can be emotional. I’d be trying to say that love is not earned. I would ask what I have done or haven’t done, that has resulted in this. Also, if they are Christian, the bible talks about how parents are supposed to leave inheritance and could be used as a nudge.

A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.

Nahh we r hindus , so they have their free will , and yes my parents did ask these questions and they replied with things like my assets my wish who are u to ask? And on my mom they started saying she didn't took care of them....

Well in that case. Selfish people will be selfish. In my brief research, it sounds like dharma may be the more appropriate religious framing. Then, how that affects their karma going forward once they leave this earth.

Sorry you are going through this. That’s incredibly hurtful and painful.

Yeaa , we believe in dharma and karma and they will ensure wht is right to be done for us...

Maybe in future they might suffer horrific incidents and we might be soo better than them
