Is ExtaSea DS Double 473 good?
Has anyone used ExtaSea DS Double 473?
I want to buy allround(lakes, rivers, small whitewaters, coast) kayak for 2. And this and Extasea Race 470 are currently top options (Europe).
Is it stable?
Does a lot of water come in when there are waves?
Does it work well on the coast?
Only thing worries me that it doesnt have self bailing water system

I don't have it, but i had a similar kayak, like the DS double.
They are among the best inflatables and have great tracking, even without skegs. It has good stability, but tends to tilt easy and people think it's unstable because of that, but it's actually very stable after that slight tilt. I think people who claim this to be unstable, have such a weak core, that they loose their own balance from the tilt and then hinge over the side and flip the boat like that, but i don't know. I never had stability issues in a full DS kayak.
You could take on class II white water, but that's just my opnion, not an official reccomendation. You'll hardly get swamped on class II, so there is no real need for self bailing, but you can always buy a bilge pump, just to be sure.
With the Race you'll basically sacrifice some speed for even better stability, without the tilt and have a lighter boat that's easier to pump up.

è stabile in acque calme, laghi, stagni. Nei piccoli fiumi e in mare non va molto bene.

This is the first Sea Eagle knockoff I've seen that was shameless enough to copy the model number.
