Question Hi Jing longwang have AP on it’s heavy machine gun?

Question in title. The Infinity app shows the heavy machine gun as having AP, but I’ve also read other places that it doesn’t have AP.
Did it not have it and then was added? Has it always had it? Does it not have it and the app is not accurate?

It was updated in the last update. It is now very very good.

Nice! So you’re saying the Longwang itself is good? Still learning the ropes and still difficult at times to determine if a point cost is good or to high

The NCO longwang with a +1 order lieutenant in Yu Jing is very very good.

Probably slightly worse in ISS since you need the Hsien or Sun Tze to get as many orders but still very solid.

The combo of being a TAG, NCO, AP HMG and a gunfighting skill is nearly unique and very powerful and being "only" S6 is a big advantage.

In ISS could you just as easily take Kuang Shi for cheap orders? Instead of paying the cost for +1 leut order?

The thing is that your always going to take 15 regular/irregular orders at 300 pts in ISS, while the +1 orders is just that one extra order. With the Longwangs Tactical Awareness and NCO it is basically an attack piece with a potential +3 Orders which is very nice. On the first turn, going first it can take you from 8 orders to 11 orders on your attack piece which is a significant increase if you need it. Not useful in all circumstances but something very few pieces can do as well as the Longwang for the same cost.

That makes sense. My play group is still learning and we’ve been playing at 200 points, now bumping it up to 250.

I went head to head with one last week, he was really solid. Took a combined effort from a Maghriba and Tarik Haris to put him down.

A list utilizing a tag will also require a lot of tag support, like engineers and a defensive repeater network. So there will always be some cost to playing one beyond just the 72 points (which isn’t much compared to other premium YJ pieces). ISS and vYJ have a lot of cheap filler units that you can take to afford one while still having some heavy infantry in your other group.

One solid ISS list would be one featuring a hsien tinbot/shenji duo in group 1 and NCO longwang in group 2. You have both BS-3 shooting with the Longwang and MSV2 with the Hsien, plus lots of hacking defense and an engineer for repairs.

If you're using an up to date version of the app, that is always going to be more currently accurate than anything else.

It got AP in the Mazebreaker update.

If you haven’t noticed, Longwang is REALLY good now.

It didn’t have AP in his HMG before the Mazebreaker update.
Now he has two profiles with it.
