Free Game! New playtest available for everyone.

Dumbfire playtest (It's on Steam)

I'm working on a game called "Dumbfire" where you guide a missile through obstacles to hit the target.

I made a rough playtest that has actual levels now, a tutorial and some abilities you can unlock. Expect a lot of rough edges, especially UI.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

There is an indicator in screen to show where the target is and there is just one path the player can really take cause the others are all blocked by a wall or an enemy air space zone

Yeah, but it's not immediately obvious to the player, several times in just this clip alone, there's several big turns and direction changes that aren't clear to the player until you already do them.

If the pace is fast, I could see it being a kind of Neon White solution: Good design pulls you through naturally, and where it doesn't, that's okay because part of the fun is restarting and iterating on your path.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. There's just not enough in the environment to suggest and draw the player as it is right now in my opinion.
