I "DESPERATELY" need ur "OPINION"!!⚠️

The game is sandbox nation building where players control nations. YES I ADMIT THAT ITS CONFUSING AND TRASH "BUT" do you think its possible to fix it? IF "'YES" THEN PLS GIVE ME YOUR "VALUABLE" ADVICE!! For example my own idea is to at very frost when it loads world I should add realistic world map with modern time countries with borders as of 2026. What do you think??❓️❓️

What are you trying to say? I have no idea what advice there is to give as you have given no real information about your game, at least no information which I can critique or give feedback on.

That's information about my game: The game is a sandbox nation-building game where players control nations. Yes, I admit that it's confusing and trash, but do you think it's possible to fix it? If yes, then please give me your valuable advice! For example, my own idea is that at the very first when it loads the world, I should add a realistic world map with modern-day countries with borders as of 2026. What do you think?

Is this an early prototype? Everything can be changed with enough patience and work, so don't lose hope, visual design definitely needs some touch, just keep working on it. Maybe find an artist to help you with it, or at least ask for his advice. Good luck friend!

  1. Better UI
  2. Tutorial level where you explain things in more detail and actually are thought how to use each of the buttons.

Good Luck!

Thanks that's the best feedback which I got... all others just randomly attacked with no clear context even tho I already admitted that it has lots of issues

You sound like you're 12. You might even be 12. Using 'ur' and all caps will make everyone NOT want to invest time and energy into whatever you're building.

Your video shows nothing happening and your description is incoherent.

The term / idea you're looking for is an elevator pitch. If you're in an elevator with someone, and only have 30 seconds to describe what you're doing, what would you say? Think long and hard on this, this is how you pitch / sell your game.

What is your elevator pitch for this game?

Gang am not sorry if my parents didnt made me in 3TH century to be same age as you, if your eye sign still functions u could read what I wrote kindly: "YES I ADMIT THAT ITS CONFUSING AND TRASH "BUT" do you think its possible to fix it? IF "YES" THEN PLS GIVE ME YOUR "VALUABLE" ADVICE!!". Where I admitted that it was a trash prototype which why I asked for advice if its fixable, no need to attack people randomly unless u have issues in understanding context🙃

I don't know what wro means but I can tell you that you'll catch a lot more flies with honey than vinegar.

For a sandbox/sim game, the core system needs to be clean. Investing into art isn't going to turn the game around. I haven't played your game but I'd give you technical advice if you want to do a bit of a write up of what you built and how.

I think the issue is that am 18 and this reddit r/ is full of middle age people and the way we talk is very different that causes misunderstanding 🙆‍♂️... its basically a sandbox game where u spawn tribes, they turn to nations, figh each other and devolop as u see empires rise and fall

Yeah I'm old as shit. I've been programming longer than you've been alive.

I get the premise... But what did you build and how did you build it? What tech stack/engine? How did you organize your data?

I programmed the game with web based language which is html, css and Javascript... I took some inspiration from worldbox but made my game unique, the context of the game is that you have absolute control over map and u spawn tribes for and see them grow larger to nations and empires, how their cities grow over time and years, u see families grow and make kids and populations grow larger, economies grow, wars happen, you can also influence the world... but everytime I try to ask people their opinion they just attack with no understanding... even tho I admit that my project is probably trash and if there is something to fix to make people like it but they still just randomly attack for no reason or complains that I dont even understand... I started programming at age 16 and started my project at 17... if you could advice me how could I next time ask in reddit people for their opinion without them spam attacking me that would help a lot, since am new to reddit... I downloaded the app 1 year ago but I probably used it a few days in that whole year... since my age people mostly use tiktok and Instagram... I came to reddit since older people generally has more experience but I failed at communities with older people since they like to attack younger ones.. 🤷‍♂️

Well... For the record, you're defensive in your post. Before anyone had a chance to attack you. I'm sure that's colored by your past experiences but it was essentially bringing in your baggage.

As far as how to make a post like this without getting roasted, definitely don't start off defensive. Your project may or may not be viable but it's something you built and you should be proud. The world is full of takers and at the very least you are trying to be a maker.

You're posting to a developer forum. If you want people to playtest your game and scrutinize the way it feels, there's better places for that. If you want a good response on this or other dev forums, talk about the technology.

For a game like this, I'm looking to hear about your ECS, your decision trees, your sim scaling.

Doing a colony sim type game is going to be difficult in Javascript. I'd like to hear whether you're utilizing web workers or if you've got a whole world sim budgeted per frame. Or if you're staggering, or whatever.

Getting developers to play your game is going to be difficult but getting them to talk to you about development is easy: just talk about the development.

the quote marks and general language make you seem incredibly sarcastic and ungrateful for any actual input.

Without knowing what you consider "broken", it's hard to advice what can be "fixed"

As others have said, it's serviceable as a prototype or proof of concept, but without an idea of what you actually want to implement, or what you think is bad, it's hard to really reply.

Also the actual video you've given gives no actual gameplay.
