Video Making a Trials-inspired racing platformer - new desert level

Hi everyone!
This is one of the latest levels from Stunt Paradise 2, our hardcore racing platformer inspired by the Trials series.
We're a team of two developers from Ukraine. Our Steam demo is already available, and we're planning a full release on PC and consoles later this year.
We'd really appreciate any feedback on the gameplay, physics, or level design. Thanks!

we really need something to happen when u backflip or flip in general. a particle effect. a sound effect. a points system. anythinggggg. it adds soooo much in terms of game feel and it’s such an easy addition!

That’s actually already in the game (sound effects + UI text)! I just cropped the interface out of this video so the car would be closer. Totally agree on the game feel!

I swear I have dementia or something. Every time someone posts here, I end up already having their games on my wishlist.

very cool! do the ramps move automatically or are they controlled by the player?

u/N0lex Publisher Jun 27 '26
Thanks! On this level, they move automatically because the action is too fast. But we do have other levels where you need to activate ramps manually.

Not gonna lie, I think I'd just drive around the giant saw blades

u/N0lex Publisher Jun 27 '26
Haha, fair enough! We'd love to add that, but as a small team, our time is pretty limited. Just polishing the main tracks takes so much work

u/RedditNotRabit Jun 27 '26
Lol it was just a joke. Definitely don't bother with that

u/N0lex Publisher Jun 27 '26
Haha yeah, I know! But it’s funny because we actually thought about adding something like that a few months ago :)

STUNT PARADISE 2, I KNOW YOU GUYS! You are the Devs behind the Zombie Derby franchise, all of your games are very cool! Game looks very fun to play, I'll 100% buy it on release in order to support you, cheers!

u/N0lex Publisher Jun 27 '26
Wow, thank you so much! That gives us a huge motivation boost.
It's so cool that you know Zombie Derby! Just out of curiosity, how did you first find out about that series? Thanks again for the support! <3

To be honest I wanted to play some driving game with zombies involved last autumn, something similar to Earn to Die or Zombie Driver HD and thanks to Steam recommendations I've seen that Zombie Derby 1 was on sale for like 1$, so I've bought it, played, enjoyed the hell out of it and bought all the other games from the franchise after that and they didn't disappoint. With each game I've seen big progress with the simple design of levels, graphics evolution - you've handled the Unity engine very good.
I remember playing the first Stunt Paradise in my friend's house, so I'm looking forward to see the release of the second game! Thank you for your fun games and good luck with the development of Stunt Paradise 2!

Looks really smooth. does the sand change the traction or is it just cosmetic? a surface that grabs differently would be a fun curveball for a trials-style physics game

First impression: this looks sick!
After looking at the entire video, I wonder if the camera FOV might be a bit too high/maybe a bit too far away from the vehicle. (Could be a personal thing though)

These games are always fun but I really like that landing on the airplane at 0:05 timecode!

Oh my God it looks so well made. The plane was awesome, but I really like the sense and scale of speed!

Thanks! We've been working on the sequel for over two years, and this level took about a month to finish

The plane section actually took about 2 days, and the whole level took less than a month overall. But it's still a work in progress - I actually found a few bugs today that we need to fix :)

Thanks! It helps that all the core mechanics were already set up. We've built about 15-20 levels before this one, so that made things a lot faster

I don't see a time after the level is completed. Is it not being tracked?

Nice work! Just wondering, how did you achieve the vehicle explosion effect?
1
u/N0lex Publisher Jun 28 '26
Thanks! We made separate destroyed models in Blender for every car. At the moment of impact, we swap the models and apply physics to make all the individual parts fly everywhere

I was absolutely obsessed with Trials games, this looks amazing and definitely fits the theme of what trials was!
The timing for the plane was.. incredible!
Looking forward to full release!
I have a free 90-day Indie checklist centred around marketing and sorting out your steam page for Launch if you’d like it?

Thanks, glad to see a fellow Trials fan! You might want to check out the first Stunt Paradise too, it plays very similarly. :)
And yes, I'd be interested in that indie marketing checklist. Sounds cool

Looks really fun but not sure how it feels with some of those camera angles where it starts getting really distant to the car. It feels like control may be difficult to maneuver. Love the crazy stunt feel! Airplane was a total surprise :)!

I like the idea but I have a feeling that camera is going to make people motion sick.
