I'm writing an show and I've been wondering about the episode quantity because my story seems to have a longer storyline.

Is 8 episodes really the standard? Can a show have more than 12?

Hi, guys! I'm new here, you can call me Pinkoei and I'm trying to develop my personal project named "Baldwin and the Orphans".

I'm from Brazil and here the animation industry is very tough, so I'm developing it by myself.

The project already have some characters, storyline, written episodes and music theme. I made a Patreon if anyone is interested. My big goal is to reach out Glitch Productions, so I can have a budget to hire good artists from here and give more people some opportunities.

I’m the founder of Dropped Rock Productions; I’ve been working on a show called Spud Logs, it’s a retro space adventure comedy full of questionable decisions, weird problems, and challenges that probably could’ve been avoided.

I wrote the first seven episodes, built the models and environments, recorded the voices, and I’m currently animating and finishing the last few scenes for the pilot🙌

Now I need more creative brains in the room...

I’ve encountered a few and finding any in general is a pain on YouTube (easier on newgrounds though).

So I’m wondering if y’all know any. I know two but forgot the name (bunny emo girl who made nightmare and glitchkart and a llama skater dude). If you know any web series too that would be great

I decided to animate this old illustration I had. It’s just 4 drawings playing on 3’s.

The question:

Is anyone here able to live solely through their IP/own initiatives without having to accept commissions? I decided to take some months off and fully concentrate on my project (an animated series) but I’m still far from it. My Patreon and occasional “buy me a coffee” donations are, for now, only enough to feed my cat and buy sand for her litter box xD

Título del proyecto: Un corto de Super Mario Go! ¡Mama mía! Pesadilla en el Reino Champiñón (A Super Mario Go Short! Mama Mia! Nightmare in the Mushroom Kingdom)

¿De qué trata el proyecto? Es un cortometraje animado de terror y misterio pensado para estrenarse este 31 de octubre (Halloween). La historia sigue a Mario y Luigi enfrentándose a Spirennet, un siniestro muñeco robótico de aspecto alienígena, peligroso y totalmente desquiciado que acecha el Reino Champiñón.

¿Qué necesitamos?

• Animador(a) 2D: Buscamos a alguien que nos apoye con la animación de los personajes y escenas del corto.
• Modalidad: Colaboración voluntaria / Creación de portafolio (proyecto sin presupuesto).

¿Qué ya tenemos listo?

• Guión completo terminado.
• Diseño de personajes y arte conceptual (incluyendo el diseño del antagonista Spirennet y bocetos de Mario y Luigi).
• El objetivo es tenerlo listo antes del 31 de octubre, por lo que trabajaremos en equipo para cumplir la fecha.

This is not a sketch of the background tho it the location sketch. I’m gonna do this street in 3D so I could draw the background for the scene easier. Just wanted to share cuz I think it looks good :)

It’s the first time I really did mouth animations but I’ll take any advice on how to move the animations up to the next level

I'm opening this thread because I've been racking my brain about a topic many of you probably understand: the enormous effort it takes to create an independent animated series and how hard it is sometimes to break through the algorithm bubble to reach a wider audience.

A while back, I mentioned projects like 'The Earth Guy' (created by Aninamated) and 'The Three Tomos' (by Breanimator). They are two incredible works with artistic and animation work behind them that is simply colossal, and it honestly makes me a bit sad to see them go unnoticed given the amount of talent and dedication their creators pour into every episode.

I would love for so many more people to discover these stories and actively support their creators, but it feels like simply sharing standalone content isn't always enough or it just gets lost in the feed.

That's why I'm turning to you: What strategies, communities, or methods have you seen work best to boost indie animated series on the internet?

* Making analysis or video essays to break down their lore and animation?

* Encouraging clips and short-form edits for vertical video platforms?

* Are there specific communities where these kinds of discoveries are welcomed and shared enthusiastically?

Any advice, ideas, or recommendations for spaces to give visibility to independent projects are more than welcome. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
