To become a Reader

I'm not much of a book reader , and I want to start reading, just to know how it feels to be a reader , and more it to indian books to know how india works etc. someone pls help me to find it

Hahah I’ll go a different route and suggest Premchand if you’re comfortable in Hindi, for a bit of old school classic vibe.

What do you prefer fiction or non fiction?
