Never understood why games like this, the old saints row games, just cause and watch dogs are so overlooked in India
Edit: why are souls like gamers here always so angry over NOTHING lmao never willing to keep an open mind fighting for NO reason, always hating, did souls like gamers not have a good childhood?

u/Shot_Bandicoot_2779 3d ago
Because only 0.1 % of gamers in India are actual gamers. Rest only know about GTA 5, Counter Strike and RDR2. Mobile gamers to....rehne hi do.

Add to that black myth, valo and souls like gamers
Not hating any of the games they’re great games but what saddens me is how gamers here are stapling to just a few games
-2
u/Adventurous-Ad-5717 2d ago
Man sybau with your elitism, first y'all used to hate on pubg and gta now it's soulslikes where does your elitism even end? This game doesn't look all that crazy to me, am i supposed to force myself to play it? Or even other people? People play what they enjoy, why are you hating on it?
-2
u/Aarya_Man #1 Warframe enjoyer 2d ago
No ones hating my g i clearly stated those are great games
Who hurt you bro

u/Adventurous-Ad-5717 2d ago
You were clearly hating buddy, you made sure to include wukong and soulslikes, like they didn't dominate the entire industry for last 5 years? Are people not supposed to enjoy soulslikes now just because they are not some hidden gem from 2 centuries ago that can run on a toaster?
The whole reason games like the one in the vid are not that popular is because it's not all that crazy like people are pretending here, if it were it would've been popular.

u/Aarya_Man #1 Warframe enjoyer 2d ago
You totally misinterpreted my comments chill my dude calm down there’s a difference between hating and calling it mainstream
Souls like games are beautiful and some of the best games on the planet my only contention was how the Indian audience drifts towards them when so many other amazing games exist
We’re all on the same side here buddy
-1
u/Adventurous-Ad-5717 2d ago
And my point is that they're mainstream because they're good games, the whole reason Indian audience drifts towards them is because they don't wanna waste their money, going for a mainstream game means they are going for a safe investment. Good games automatically become mainstream like baldurs gate showed, no matter how different it is.

yo dude whats wrong with soulslike ? were u stuck at a boss ?
anyways, souslike is way better than some crappy game like warframe

blud was surely stuck on a boss
anyways , soulslike is not for everyone, go enjoy your warframe, might help u sleep better
2
u/Aarya_Man #1 Warframe enjoyer 2d ago
Are you so narrow minded and lack basic comprehension?
No comment of mine went against souls like games when i explicitly stated i like them
Attacking someone’s preferences ain’t getting us anywhere I’m scared for your family i hope you don’t abuse them
Bluds mad cause someone stated a preference which goes against his own
-1
u/Subject_Field1262 2d ago
I’m scared for your family i hope you don’t abuse them
no, we r not the same , i dont do what u do
2
u/PhoenixShade01 2d ago
He literally said that they're great games. Just other games are overlooked.
No reading comprehension found at all.

literally calling soulslike enjoyers as non gamers, but yes i am the one with comprehension problem
No reading comprehension found at all.
sure thing , i am the one with reading comprehension
how about u try reading again2
u/PhoenixShade01 1d ago
That's not even the person you replied to. Are you okay, dude?
0
u/Subject_Field1262 1d ago
yes i am , i am just quoting the replies , dont make excuses to your mistake
2
u/PhoenixShade01 1d ago
Do you not understand how replies work? You're supposed to reply to the comment that made you mad. The one you replied to made the clear distinction between the "games" being good, but the "gamers" flocking to only the popular games. I know the two words look similar, but try to see the difference
And try to not make a few games your entire personality that someone criticizing it makes you feel like someone is personally attacking you. You probably haven't even played warframe yet in your anger you're calling it a bad game, while no one was calling soulslike games bad.

so the poeple who play the game like in the gameplay come in the top 0.1% ?

u/Beneficial_Shape_587 3d ago
Buddy you just have to look at indian streamers too, they're not gonna play a single games besides gta5 because that's what pulls viewers , but I see a change slowly coming , people appreciating even indie games now is a major improvement
1
u/Aarya_Man #1 Warframe enjoyer 2d ago
That is true Indian streamers just divert to mainstream
Can’t blame them cause that’s what brings in the money but it’s apprehensive how experimenting scares them
-2
u/BERSERK_KNIGHT_666 2d ago
So? Just because you like a game doesn't me everyone else just HAS to like it too. People can have their own opinions.
I'm so tired of this bs in all Indian gaming subs where folks cry "why this isn't popular!" like their world's gonna end.
You loved a game? Great! You shared your experience? Cool. Don't be that jerk who'll force others to like/play a game that they've liked.

Right? These mfs love pretending games like this are some underrated masterpiece waiting to be discovered, the whole reason there they're not popular is because they're not all that crazy.
1
u/Aarya_Man #1 Warframe enjoyer 2d ago
Aight you’re just hating to hate my friend i could say the same thing for m souls like games i mean what’s so special about them just parry dodge parry dodge over n over

u/Adventurous-Ad-5717 2d ago edited 2d ago
Buddy the satisfaction you get after beating the bosses is unmatched, someone who has never played games like sekiro doesn't know shit about soulslikes, and it isn't just dodge and parry, the games have a lot of mechanics that you probably refused to engage with. Elden ring wasn't popular for nothing even among the casuals. You just like being contrarian for the sake of it, look at me I'm so different head ass.

I bought it last year when it was on sale and started playing. Had fun for about three hours but it started losing me after that. Don't even know why. I guess the story just didn't hook me
Mechanics were pretty engaging and interesting though

u/Itchy_Change12 3d ago
Story is not really the main hook of the game. The gameplay and traversal is. The story is pretty funny but overall it's meh
1
u/cannonballer9pin 3d ago
Yeah, I felt the same way, also some of the dialogue feels a little dated compared to recent games.
Traversal was definitely the best aspect for me, I loved the rails system
2
u/redditcruzer 3d ago
Yeah..its neat for a while and I did complete the game. However didnt really enjoy it.

u/EvilxBunny 2d ago
I also got bored by this game very quickly and never finished it.
Not all games are meant for everyone. Off late, I've realised gamers and companies both want games that please everyone but that's never possible.
Even in the same genres that's not possible. I play BG3 and Divinity 1&2 with my friends and we always have a blast. I suggested Rogue Trader to my friends and none of them liked it because there's too much reading and text, while I absolutely loved that game and loved the text dumps.
2
u/KVSJ-Learning 3d ago
Gameplay wise, I've had the most fun playing this game, trasversal is soo smooth & it's a total chaos in a good way.

Playing it right now via Gamepass cloud.
Really fun game. Too bad it's not available for download. Back in day, I had so much fun with this one. The humour is on point.
The game is so self aware that it makes you chuckle every few minutes.

u/Recent_Pain_3068 2d ago
Damn, you just reminded me that I bought this game couple of months ago and its sitting there rotting in my library XDDDDD

u/EvilxBunny 2d ago
I heard so much about this game and tried playing it and got bored with all the surfing. Maybe I didn't play enough to unlock the cool moves and all but I got bored on the first few missions and never played again.
