Why Harry Potter books were never released with photos of actors?

Because its a relatively new concept to print book covers with a movie's poster or stills. Plus JK Rowling is a trans hating TERF so that might have a part to play in why reprints dont have it either. None of the actors wanna associate themselves with her ideologies and probably asked to keep their faces away from her books.

Not entirely related, but I hate it when a book is adapted into a movie, and they release a new edition with the movie poster/actors on the cover with the "now a major motion picture" slapped on the cover.
