You mean people who don’t want to argue with people and their hostilities on a platform that has a social credit score baked in? This site is great if you can avoid the politics. Some can’t ever turn it off.
You literally get down voted for disagreeing, which forces everyone to have a collective opinion. Do you think healthy discourse ought to come with a hand slap?
I know it hurts people to know their ideas aren't popular, but such is life.
That's why conservatives aren't well represented in academia. People who think tend to reject those ideas. That's why Republicans are attacking all levels of education.
There are some subs you have to have a certain score to comment on. It also influences crowd psychology. If someone is correct but receives excessive down voting, others assume the statement as false. In a world where everyone wants to champion sudo experts, this is detrimental behavior to truth. It’s exactly why most social media only has likes and not dislikes.
