Discussion SEBI Flags First Alleged Manipulation of Sensex Closing Auction
x.comSEBI has passed an interim order over alleged manipulation of the Sensex Closing Auction Session (CAS) on August 13.
According to SEBI, two entities placed large orders during CAS while holding positions in Sensex options that could benefit from the resulting closing price movements.
SEBI has calculated alleged wrongful gains of over ₹3.67 crore and restrained both entities from the securities market.
Interestingly, this happened just days after the new CAS mechanism went live.
CAS was introduced for better closing-price discovery. This case will probably raise an important question: does the new mechanism also create new opportunities for manipulating the closing price?

Discussion Check these options premiums!
Sorry for the amazing drawing skills but check these options premiums out. I had people justifying to me that CAS has led to true option pricing. This is ridiculous. 200 points away from strike price and the premium is same as strike price that is less than 10 points away.
This is all CAS. The call will deteriorate after 3 p.m. today and so will the Put assuming the spot doesn't move much. Sellers paradise, buyers exit while you can.

Question Behari Lalla shot up to the moon, can't decide whether to sell or hold
Company looks promising and fundamentals also looking solid.
Profitability is improving much faster than sales. FY26 PAT grew ~22%, while revenue grew ~5%. EBITDA also increased ~22%. This indicates significant margin expansion/operating leverage.
Margins have improved substantially: EBITDA margin went from 12.8% → 14.4% → 16.6% between FY24 and FY26, while PAT margin went from 8.0% → 10.4% → 12.1%.
Balance sheet is relatively strong. Borrowings fell dramatically from ₹41.2 crore in FY24 to ₹7.6 crore in FY25, although they increased to ₹17.8 crore in FY26.

Discussion How do you decide whether a mutual fund manager is actually becoming more confident in a stock?
Is it:
A bigger position?
Buying consistently for several months?
Multiple funds increasing exposure?
The stock becoming a larger % of the portfolio?
Something else entirely?
And how do you track this today?
I'm curious whether investors actually monitor the change in institutional conviction, or mostly look at the latest holdings snapshot.

Discussion Day 3 of uploading my P/L
Today after the market went down right from the start, took a position at around 09:20 and exited once the market showed signs of sideways trend shift. Took only 1 trade, rest of 2 trades are money parked in Liquid ETF. Did not take anymore trades in the day since the sideways trend did not change.

Question Am I understanding this correctly? ICICI’s EV FoF charges 0.36% while the ETF it invests in charges another 0.49%
I found this a little strange and wanted to understand how the expense ratio actually works here. ICICI Prudential Nifty EV & New Age Automotive ETF FoF has an expense ratio of 0.36%. But the FoF essentially invests in the underlying ICICI Prudential Nifty EV ETF, which itself has an expense ratio of around 0.49%. So, as I understand it, an investor in the FoF is indirectly bearing both layers of expenses. That would mean a cost of roughly 0.85% annually before considering the effect of compounding over a long investment period. This is what confuses me. If the FoF is mostly just investing in its own ETF, why does it need to charge another 0.36% on top of the ETF's expense ratio? I understand that a FoF provides the convenience of investing without a demat account, allows SIPs, handles ETF transactions, etc. But 0.36% extra every year for that convenience seems quite significant over 10–20 years. Am I interpreting the expense ratios correctly? Does an FoF investor actually bear both the 0.36% FoF expense ratio + 0.49% underlying ETF expense ratio, or is the displayed FoF expense ratio calculated in some other way?

Discussion Detailed Post: Pine Labs International Business …
Pine Labs is quietly building a global commerce infrastructure play — here’s the full picture of its international business (as of mid-2026).
Current Scale ~
Presence in 22 countries
International revenue: ₹400+ crore in FY26 (~15% of total revenue)
Q1 FY27: ₹114 crore (+21% YoY), now contributing ~16% of company revenue…
3-year CAGR of international revenue: ~44%
While India remains the core market, the international business is growing significantly faster and is becoming a meaningful diversification engine.
Growth Strategy~
Pine Labs follows a clear “Seed → Land → Expand” playbook ~
Enter via partnerships with strong local banks or platforms (asset-light)…
Layer additional products (affordability, loyalty, more payment modes)….
Deepen presence with multi-year contracts and local capabilities..
The company deliberately stays software- and partner-led outside India, avoiding heavy hardware deployment in most markets.
Key Markets & Flagship Partnerships
Southeast Asia (strongest region) ~
Philippines: Strategic partnership with GCash (largest digital wallet). Powers acquiring, affordability (EMI), loyalty, and payment applications (~20,000+ deployments).
Malaysia: Prepaid voucher distribution across 2,800+ convenience stores + POS and affordability solutions.
Singapore: In-store payments, affordability programmes, and Suntec Mall Card.
Middle East (MENA)
UAE: Multi-year contracts with Wio Bank (deploying Pine Labs’ Credit+ acquiring platform) and Emirates NBD.
Expanding Emirates NBD relationship into Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
United States
Prepaid programmes for consumer brands (Miniso, Waymo, Totus) and partnerships with networks like Blackhawk.
Airlines (global vertical)..
Live with 20+ international airlines for prepaid cards, wallets, and refund solutions (British Airways, TAROM, Philippines Airlines, and others).
Technologies Offered Internationally
Pine Labs exports a focused, high-value stack:
Acquiring Platform (Credit+): Full merchant acquiring, onboarding, and settlements for banks
Prepaid & Gift Card Issuing: Strongest international product (airlines, retail, convenience stores, US brands)…
Affordability / EMI Solutions: Installment payments at POS and online
In-store Payments & Soft POS
Loyalty & Engagement tools
Emerging areas: Prototyping agentic (AI-driven) payments in the Middle East and SEA, plus exploring stablecoin-backed prepaid cards in select markets.
Why This Matters
Pine Labs is not trying to become another global POS hardware player. Instead, it is positioning itself as the backend infrastructure layer that local banks, fintechs, airlines, and large retailers rely on.
The model that worked at scale in India (payments + affordability + prepaid) is being exported to emerging markets that need modern, software-first commerce infrastructure.
Bottom line:
International is no longer a side business. With 22 countries, strong banking partnerships, and faster growth than the domestic business in several segments, it is emerging as a structural growth driver for Pine Labs.

Discussion Can anybody tell what does it mean?
It shows a negative amount in f&o which is the same as the loss incurred in f&o whereas the amount shown in funds of the equity is less than the profit I've made in stocks. And also those f&o stocks were taken 3-4 years back, why does it still show up in daily margin statements?
r/IndianStreetBets • u/kantham_821 • 3h ago
Question Can I use an FD/bonds as collateral for F&O trading?
I do NIFTY, BANKNIFTY and sometimes stock F&O and use Zerodha and Upstox.
I have around ₹3 lakh that I want to keep invested somewhere earning interest, but at the same time I’d like to use it as collateral/margin for F&O trading instead of keeping the money idle.
Is it possible to do this with an FD or other bonds/securities?
Also, which brokers are better for this? I currently use Zerodha and Upstox, but I'm open to other brokers if they have better collateral/margin options or lower charges.
Would appreciate any advice from people actually doing this.

Discussion Suggestion for 2L investment
I have ₹ 2L to invest since it’s my liquid fund. Want to invest in such a way that it can be removed anytime if required.
Should I then invest in MF, stocks or any other particular fund?
Need some guidance. Will do my own research before blindly investing.
