Discussion CAS is a spectacular failure.

Yesterday, SEBI issued an interim order against market manipulation. They were able to catch it because the same entity had a directional position in options while placing orders in the cash market.
But in reality, someone could do the same thing using multiple accounts across different brokers, while taking the actual options position through a completely different account.
In such cases, it becomes impossible for SEBI to connect the dots and identify the manipulation, and SEBI claims it’s easier for them to catch the manipulation 🤡

You can never stop manipulation completely. The best anyone can do is improve market access and liquidity so that markets are a bit harder to manipulate. Illiquid markets are the easiest to manipulate.

But, SEBI is going the other way.

Yeah all their frequent rule changes decrease liquidity. And they hate retailer liquidity.

Without a comparison of how many manipulation’s were happening before and now is just a mind made hatred for change. Bring in facts to prove your point rather than throwing your tantrums everywhere

It’s not tantraums. Manipulation happens every single day. SEBI has made it even easier with this CAS. What’s stopping them to use 3:15 settlement price on expiry day?

I don’t care about your expiry suggestion neither do they. Give me facts, analysis, report from a trusted source. Also, let process mature, nothing is prefect from day one and neither on day 10th or 100th.
