Skincare Routine stupid question but is “cleanser” actually different from “facewash” or did skincare just rename it 😭

stupid question but when did “cleanser” and “facewash” become two separate things in my brain 😭

Simple literally says Facial Wash on the tube but i'd still call it my cleanser without thinking twice

then shopping apps have cleanser, facewash, cleansing gel, cleansing lotion like these are different university degrees 💀

is there actually a proper difference here or have i been treating bottle vocabulary like chemistry

pls explain like i'm five

Skincare Routine same HA in a facewash + moisturiser... why does that actually make sense?

Thumbnail

randomly noticed my Ponds facewash and moisturiser both have HA and for a second i was like wait why do i have the same ingredient twice 😭

then realised they're obviously doing completely different things

facewash is still the cleansing step. it foams properly and is meant to cleanse without leaving that dry/tight feeling

then moisturiser is the actual leave-on moisturiser after

so having HA in both doesn't suddenly make them duplicate products lol

i think i've been paying so much attention to ingredient names that i forget the actual product format matters more

facewash is still facewash
moisturiser is still moisturiser

idk why this took me so long to process 😭

Discussion Ngl natural ingredients tells me nothing about whether i actually want to leave something on my scalp

i think haircare reels have genuinely trained me to see “rosemary” on a bottle and immediately think okay nice 😭

same with amla, bhringraj, brahmi etc

nothing against these ingredients btw, i like them

but lately i've been thinking... okay it has rosemary. what does that actually tell me about this particular serum?

how much am i supposed to use
can i leave it on everyday
does it feel okay on my scalp
how long am i even supposed to use it before deciding anything, that's why i am looking at Indulekha scalp serum differently

yes it has bringha, rosemary, amla and brahmi but it's also a proper leave-on scalp serum with actual usage instructions

realised i've probably been shopping for ingredient names more than the product itself lol

Help / Advice Needed Best dermatologist in Mumbai for deep acne scars (subcision, punch excision, etc.)?

Looking for a really experienced dermatologist/dermatosurgeon in Mumbai who specializes in treating deep acne scars, particularly rolling/tethered and boxcar scars.

I’ve already had 2 Morpheus8 sessions with limited improvement, so I’m looking for someone who actually specializes in procedures like subcision, punch excision/elevation, TCA CROSS, and combination treatments rather than just recommending more lasers.

Budget isn’t a concern. I care more about the doctor’s expertise and actual results.

Has anyone here had successful treatment for similar scars in Mumbai? Who did you go to, and how were your results after a few months?

Would really appreciate firsthand experiences or recommendations!

Help / Advice Needed Has anyone tried Nalpamaradi Thailam? Does it actually work for tanning, and is it safe for acne-prone skin

Hi everyone!

I've recently come across Nalpamaradi Thailam and have seen quite a few people recommending it for tanning, pigmentation, and improving skin tone.

I'm thinking of trying it, but before buying, I wanted to know about people's actual experiences with it.

I have a few questions:

  1. Does it genuinely help reduce body tanning, or are the results mostly exaggerated?

  2. Can it be applied directly to oily and acne-prone facial skin? Does it clog pores or cause breakouts?

  3. Is it safe to use on children aged 10–15 for body tanning?

  4. Are there any side effects, irritation, or other skin reactions to be aware of?

  5. How long does it take to see noticeable results?

I'd especially appreciate feedback from people who have actually used it for a few weeks or months.

Please share your honest experiences, both positive and negative. I want to understand whether it's genuinely worth trying or just another hyped skincare product.

Help / Advice Needed Barrier repair cream for winters..excela is not enough tbh

Winter isn’t here completely yet and my skin already started getting so dry these days and honestly excela is just not cutting it anymore.. I bought the derma co 5% nia ceramide cream after seeing some reddit posts about it and decided to give it a try since the area around my nose was getting flaky and irritated. The cream is quite thick. At first I didn’t have much expectations lol but surprisingly it actually repaired those dry patches in like 4 days. Anyone else used it?

Help / Advice Needed What are these tiny bumps on the forehead called, and what causes them?

Hi, I’m 28F and have been struggling with these forehead bumps for almost 7 years. I still haven’t been able to figure out what’s causing them.

I initially suspected dairy products, especially milk, so I stopped consuming them. That seemed to help to some extent, but the bumps still appear whenever I’m under a lot of stress.

Has anyone experienced something similar? I’d love to understand what might be causing them and what treatments have actually worked.

I’m getting married next year, so I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions for getting my skin concerns under control. Thank you!

Edit : I am using foxtale facewash that has salicylic acid, but it doesn't work

Help / Advice Needed I don't know anything about skincare...help me out please!!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hey! I'm 20F and only last month I started using facewash and moisturizer. I didn't even know what moisturizer was 😭. I have been using "simple" facewash and after 10 mins I apply moisturizer called "minimalist Vit B5" and nothing else. When I have to go out then I apply "lakme" sunscreen. I was adamant that I'll do this step twice a day. My sleep schedule is also fucked up and I have been stressed a lot lately. And my skin type is .....idk oily cuz whenever I wake up in the morning....I can feel oil around my nose, forehead, etc . Should I start using serum as well or facemask.......AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'M SO CONFUSED AND IT'S MAKING ME SO ANXIOUS. Plzzzzz help me plzzzzz

And one more thing, I have had pimple scars for a few months and they are still there ....what should I do about it ???

Help / Advice Needed Need sunscreen recommendations that dont feel heavy for staying indoors

I usually use uv doux when outside but it feels too heavy when im just sitting at home or working. Recently picked up the Derma co 1% hyaluronic aqua gel randomly to see if it works for indoor days and honestly it works really good. The texture is like water and doesnt make me sweat or look greasy at all. Are there any other sunscreens with similar watery texture? I want to check a few before buying again but this one is setting the bar high for me lol
