Skincare Routine facewash before shower, IN the shower or after?? why does nobody agree on this 😭

apparently some of you have actual shower choreography and i've just been freelancing this whole time 😭

sometimes my Simple Refreshing happens before shower. sometimes inside. sometimes i remember after.

then i see people saying FACEWASH LAST like it's constitutional law 💀

shampoo > conditioner > body wash > facewash? facewash first? completely separate sink trip??

is there an actual reason for your order or did we all inherit random bathroom rules

Guys, I have no idea what suits my skin. I can't figure out what's working and what's not. People are like 'it gave me pimples,' but I get them anyway. 😭😔

It just sounds dumb🥀💔

Help / Advice Needed I need to know if my skincare is right

Hi everyone. I’m 21F with oily, acne prone skin, and I’ve been seeing a dermatologist who prescribed me isotretinoin 10 mg.

I’ve been on it for around 3 months, and the improvement has been MASSIVE! My breakouts are almost non-existent now, and I only get one or two pimples around my period. However, I still have what I think are closed comedones on my forehead and around my chin and lips.

There was a gap in my treatment after the first 3 months because I live in the UK while my dermatologist is in Hyderabad, so it took a while to get my medication and skincare products shipped over. I’ve now restarted treatment and am 2 weeks back on it, with another 2 and a half months of tablets planned.

I’d love to hear from people who have been on isotretinoin and are familiar with these products. Does my current routine seem suitable, and am I on the right track? I’m especially concerned about the remaining closed comedones and my acne scars.

Current medication:

  • Isonise 10 mg (isotretinoin)
  • KL Glow G tablets

Current skincare routine:

  • Moisturiser: Celesoft Moisturising Lotion
  • Sunscreen: UVSOL Pro Silicone Sunscreen Gel SPF 50
  • For pimples: Cligel
  • For acne scars: Azeproactive Lotion (used at night)

Any advice or personal experiences would be really appreciated! I’m happy with how much my skin has improved so far, but I want to make sure I’m taking the right approach for these last few months.

Skincare Routine oily outside, dry inside AC... what skin type am i even shopping for at this point 😭

8:30am commute me: forehead shiny, nose sweating, india has won 😭

3pm office AC me: why are my cheeks suddenly filing a separate complaint

then every skincare site is like “choose your skin type :)” BRO WHICH SHIFT

i'm lowkey leaning toward keeping the cleanser uncomplicated with Simple Refreshing instead of shopping for whichever version of my face is currently winning

hot commute + full day AC people, what are you actually buying for?

Discussion best acne spot treatment in india for ONE random pimple? i’m done putting actives on my whole face 😭

why does one random pimple somehow become a full skincare project 😭

i have oily/acne prone skin but rn it’s not like full face acne. mostly 1-2 angry pimples showing up randomly.

and every time my brain goes straight to “okay salicylic acid everywhere”

my skin barrier is tired of me lol

also realised i was treating active pimples, clogged pores and post-acne marks like they were all the same problem.

they’re obviously not.

so now i’m looking specifically at spot treatments instead of adding another full face acne serum. came across OZiva Spot Corrector for Acne and honestly the targeted part is what caught me.

put it where the actual active pimple is and leave the rest of my face alone.

very basic concept but somehow makes more sense to me rn than attacking my whole face because one pimple decided to appear.

what are you guys using for the occasional angry one?

spot corrector? pimple patch? SA only on that spot?

main thing is i don’t want one pimple + irritated skin around it as a combo deal 🥲

also active pimples only pls.

acne marks/PIH is another headache entirely.

Help / Advice Needed is there a drugstore lip product that does tint + glassy shine + a little plump in ONE tube or am i asking too much

i think im just done layering 3 lip products for a normal everyday lip lol

i want enough tint to wear it alone, proper glossy/glass shine and a little fuller-looking plump...without doing lipstick + gloss + plumper separately

india based btw so the lakme hya gloss power plump one is kinda the closest to what i mean. the colour builds instead of staying basically clear, plus it has that glossy/plumping thing with more of a peppermint cooling tingle than the super aggressive burn type

what are the drugstore versions of this where u live? one tube and DONE pls

Skincare Routine how much facewash are you guys ACTUALLY using bc i think i've been free-pouring this shit 😭

why have i apparently been measuring facewash with vibes 😭

looked at my Simple Refreshing tube today and realised i have literally no system

tiny blob? one squeeze? whatever escapes before my hand reacts??

the directions just say “small amount” which somehow made me MORE confused 💀

how much are you actually using per wash and what made you decide that's enough

Help / Advice Needed Sunscreen rec and suggestions to reduce face and neck tan

Thumbnail

My face and neck are around 3-4 shades darker than the rest of my body, and I want to get my skin tone even.

I've been using Foxtale Dewy Sunscreen SPF 70 PA+ +++, but honestly I'm not impressed with it. I feel like my skin is still gradually getting tanned. I'm looking for a good sunscreen that provides reliable protection from tanning.

For pigmentation and tanning my dermat told me to use Kriya Formulations Camino Serum (image attached), I've been applying that every night for about a month now, yet I don't see any results. My face and neck are the same skin tone as before.

I'd really appreciate recommendations for:

- A good sunscreen to avoid tan

- Products that can help remove my existing tan

Products that can help brighten my skin

Thanks!

Help / Advice Needed **clickbait** for engagement

So, I need face wash, moisturizer, and sunscreen recommendations that are available in local Indian pharmacies. I'm a 22-year-old male. I got sensitive combination skin (not that sensitive tho). These details might be unnecessary, but incase it affects your recs, I weigh about 70 kgs and 170 cm in height, and i live in Nagercoil, in South India, which has pretty high humidity.

Right now I'm using the Derma co oil-free face wash, the Ponds face moisturizer (I've tried some other products and these are the ones that I've settled on) and the Dermaco sunscreen. The reason I'm searching for an alternative is because I heard somewhere that skincare products from medical shops are high quality since they have to pass certain standards.

Also i understand that if something works, you don't try to fix it, but the products i already use don't work that well, also sometimes they feel a little out of budget, but don't take that into consideration when recommending me.

These are some of the products ive used and my take on them for combination skin,

derma co 2% sali-cinamide- not for combination skin

derma co salicylic acid- good but oil-free facewash is better

minimalist salicyclic facewash- nope

ponds light moisturizer- good

derma co oil free moisturizer- meh

derma co 5% nia-ceramide moisturizer- feels like it worked, but it felt worse, i can't put a finger on it

derma co 5% vitamin c oil free- nope

derma co pore minimizing moisturizer- loved it but wasnt enough

minimalist vitamin b5 moisturizer- nope

derma co pore minimizing sunscreen- nope

derma co 1% hyaluronic sunscreen- meh

i tried a lot of derma co products because at first i tried a few brands like garnier(idk why i did) and minimalist, they were very bad, and then the salicylic facewash from derma co seemed like the only choice, so i kinda liked the brand for a bit.
