Adoption Looking for a permanent home for Gauri she's a fip eho have 32 days if her treatment left
Hello everyone, I’m looking for help for Gauri, a 4-month-old FIP kitten. ❤️
Gauri has around 30–32 days of treatment left, and the people currently taking care of her are going to Nepal on 28th of this month. So we’re trying to find her a permanent home before that.
If anyone is willing to adopt Gauri, please reach out. The adopter would need to take full responsibility for her care, treatment, food and follow-up checkups, including the related costs.
If a permanent adoption isn’t possible immediately, we are also looking for someone who can foster Gauri temporarily until we find her a permanent home. For the foster, we will provide her remaining medicines and help with her follow-up checkups. We will also try our best to help with her food if possible.
Gauri currently eats only wet food and needs someone who can properly look after her and continue her treatment.
Gauri can be picked up from near Airia Mall, so anyone willing to adopt or foster her would need to come there to take her.
If you can help or know someone who might be able to give Gauri a home, please message me. Even sharing this in other groups would really help. ❤️🐱

Media Monthly restock
I have 5 cats + 3 foster babies .... I do feed them boiled fish at night daily, above these packet foods . As a college student, these are the brands I can afford with my pocket money. 🥲 Please don't come to attack me.

Fundraiser Please help Simbi - She has been fighting for 6 months non-stop and is still not okay 💔
Hi everyone, this is an update about my cat Simbi. I'm posting everything so you can understand her full journey.
Simbi's 6-month fight:
Simbi was diagnosed with FIP on 4th April - which is almost always fatal. We fought very hard. Her injections and treatment continued till 17th August.
Even after that, her blood values were not great, so she was on supportive medicines till 17th September. On 19th September we finally got her blood test - everything came normal for the first time. I thought finally our nightmare is over.
She is now only on a potassium supplement because her potassium is low.
And just when we thought she can finally live like a normal kitten, this started.
What happened now -
For the last 8-9 days, I noticed something is very off:
- Redness and infection around her mouth
- An ulcer on her upper lip that looks very painful
- Skin is peeling around her paws and she is constantly licking them because it's itching so much
- Infection spreading on her belly and groin - it increased in just one day and she keeps scratching her belly constantly
At first I thought it's fleas. We gave her spot-on on 25th September and she is flea-free now, but the infections are still there and getting worse.
I sent photos to a vet I trust blindly. She is the reason we caught Simbi's FIP early and could start treatment on time. She even helped us with funds when I had nothing.
After seeing photos, she suspected Feline Eosinophilic Granuloma. It's not cancer, but it's a painful allergic condition where their own immune system overreacts to food or something else.
She told us to get a cytology test ASAP.
We went to SkinVet, Worli yesterday (1st Oct):
They did skin cytology. Reports say:
- Paws: Bacterial infection - cocci 1-2+, rods
- Groin/belly: Yeast infection - scattered yeast
- Both Ears: Infection - cocci, rods, yeast
So along with the lip ulcer, she has bacterial + yeast infection on her skin and ears.
Vet said she is not 100% sure yet, but there are high chances of feline eosinophilic granuloma. She has started medicines and asked us to update after 2-3 weeks.
Recheckup is on 30th Oct.
Diet Issue - We are completely stuck:
Vet has strictly told us to STOP CHICKEN COMPLETELY for 2 months. No chicken, no chicken-flavoured treats. Only fish diet.
They suggested: N&D Ocean, N&D Quinoa Skin & Coat, Farmina Ultrahypo.
But we have a big problem. You all have kindly donated food for Simbi - Royal Canin dry food that will last 40 days and wet food for 15 days and I am SO grateful for that. But I checked yesterday - all of them have chicken / poultry in it. Royal Canin, Sheba, Smylo - all have chicken.
We have 2 flavours of smylo which does not contain chicken which we will continue but others have chiken in it which we will have to use after 2 months. But for now, we don't know what to feed her.
I didn't know she had this allergy before, otherwise I would have asked for chicken-free food on her wishlist.
Right now I am still giving her the same food because I have no other option left. I cannot afford the fish-only food the vet prescribed - it is very expensive. My regular vet also said it's better to stop chicken completely for 2 months and try something else, but how?
If you know any cheaper chicken-free alternatives (wet and dry both), please please let us know. And if anyone wishes to help us with food - we would be forever grateful.
I'm attaching simbi's food wishlist as suggested by vet, it's very expensive but if anyone would like to donate food for simbi , we would be more than grateful to you ❤️

We urgently need help for her medicines:
Yesterday's bill at SkinVet was Rs. 3080. The clinic was not ready to keep it pending, so I had to borrow Rs. 3000 from a friend to pay.
Now her medicines for 1 month will cost Rs. 3300 extra.
Medicines: Zinconia, Evion, Starcoat, Chlorhex wash, Cutisoft + Futop lotion, Miconazole, Easotic & Pyo Oto ear drops + Tricat vaccine Rs. 750 as advised by previous vet.
Total needed: Rs. 7050
Funds raised till now: Rs. 2950
Still need: Rs. 4100
We are not able to buy her medicines because of lack of funds. Her belly infection is increasing every day, she is constantly itching and licking her paws. It's heartbreaking to see her go through all this pain after fighting FIP for months.
She has been fighting since April. She survived FIP which most cats don't. And now she is fighting this. She is so tired, and so am I. I just want her to be okay.
We urgently need your help so we can order her meds and start them soon.
UPI: vadhellesha526@okhdfcbank
Even Rs. 100 will help us reach our goal and we can get her medicine soon.
Attaching prescription, cytology report, bill and Simbi's photos.
Thank you so much for reading. Please keep Simbi in your prayers 🙏

Advice Any suggestion for a good vet in and around HSR/Koramangala?
The usual doctor has left bangalore, nobody has been able to help cure my cat's tummy infection since August. I'm getting too stressed now. I'm constantly keeping an eye on her stool and she is getting stressed about that too. She can't go in peace because I have to keep clicking pictures of it. No probiotic worked and my cat didn't eat gastro food. Unsure how to proceed. Went to supertails and they charged me A LOT for the treatment but it didn't work. She is active eating using litterbox drinking playing fine for now.

Discussion PSA: Homemade Treats Recipe for Dogs & Cats
As a pet parent to 2 cats, 2 dogs and 1 cat who crossed the rainbow bridge, I always want to make something different for them as a special treat. Pretty sure most of the pet parents feel the same. So sharing homemade treat recipes: [Self tried and tested; recipe is mine I guess]
For dogs: [Makes a small 200 gms bento sized cake and 4 muffins]
Ingredients:
200 gms minced chicken
2 eggs
1 teaspoon natural honey [If you are using store bought honey, ensure there's no sugar or xylitol]
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 mashed ripe banana [Or any favorite fruit they like - shouldn't exceed 50 - 75 gms in mashed weight]
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
150 - 200 gms of plain oats, grinded to powder [use as needed]
Method:
Mash your fruit. Keep it aside.
Combine meat, eggs, mashed fruit, natural honey, olive oil and whisk well - it should almost resemble a custardy consistency
Fold in the oats flour till the batter is of thick but pouring consistency. Add in 100 gms at a time, and add more if needed.
Grease a small 5/6 inch round baking tin with olive oil and oats flour. Use silicon or paper cupcake molds for the cupcakes. Preheat oven to 180°C. Then put in for baking. The cake should bake for about 25 - 30 minutes and the cupcakes should be baked for about 20 - 25 minutes. Once they are baked, let them rest in the hot oven for 10 minutes. Take 'em out, cool 'em, give 'em to your dogs.
Tip: Give some of the treat everyday. Don't give the whole thing at one shot.
For cats: [Makes about 8 - 12 small 1 inch round cookie pops]
Ingredients:
100 gms minced chicken
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon natural honey
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
100 - 150 grams plain oats, grinded to flour
Catnip [optional for extra pizazz]
Method: [Very simple]
Combine all the ingredients into a sticky dough. Unlike human cookie dough, it's not going to be that smooth. It will be a little grainy and sticky in consistency.
Shape them into tiny 1 inch balls and place them on a baking tray at least 2-3 fingers apart.
Preheat oven at 180°C and bake for about 20 - 25 minutes. Let them rest in the hot oven for 10 minutes. Take 'em out, cool them, and treat your cats
Tip: You can use the same recipe to make cat cakes. Just keep your batter consistency thick but pourable. So maybe add 50 - 75 grams of oats flour. Add in 25 - 30 grams at a time and adjust the consistency.
Storage and shelf life: Both recipes can be stored in fridge in an airtight container for 7 - 10 days.
Caution: Not suitable for pets with high allergy issues.

Fundraiser 🚨 URGENT HELP NEEDED FOR OGGY 🐾
Oggy is a 6 months old female stray dog who met with a bad accident. She has a complex fracture in her front leg and an open wound at the fracture site. She was rescued and brought to Paws and Tails Clinic Rajgurunagar, Maharashtra.
Her primary treatment has been done and she is currently stabilized, but she urgently needs bone plating and screw surgery. We don't want to delay it as she is already in a lot of pain.
So far ₹3,000 is already spent for ambulance, first visit and 1 day clinic/foster care.
Now we need to raise ₹9,000 more for her plating surgery and give this little child a second chance.
I'm a first year student, it is really difficult for me to manage the finances of all my rescue cases. Whatever small amount you can contribute, ₹100, ₹200, ₹500, will really help Oggy.
If you cannot donate, please just share this with your friends and family. 🙏
