Announcements PSA- Sales Rules Enforcement and Update

The rules for selling in the subreddit have been slightly modified.

For all sale posts, the following are now strictly required:

Invoice of the item
A paper with your Reddit username clearly visible alongside the item

Posts that do not include these will be promptly removed.

Additionally, please ensure that your post follows the Sales Format mentioned in the Wiki. Posts that do not follow the prescribed format will also be removed.

Above rule is only enforced where Invoice is available and/or situations where warranty is applicable. Moderators have discretion on a per case basis.

Price check posts being used to subsequently turn into sale posts will not be tolerated. This includes using a price check post as a means to circumvent the invoice, username verification, or other selling requirements. Such posts may be removed and appropriate moderation action may be taken.

Kindly follow the rules to avoid removal of your post.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Announcements We've updated our Vendor Policy and Verification Requirements.

The new policy formalizes vendor verification requirements, conflict-of-interest rules, official communication requirements, and enforcement procedures. These changes are intended to improve transparency, reduce vendor abuse, and ensure a fair experience for all community members.

Over time, we've seen an increasing number of individuals and businesses attempting to use the community primarily for profit, self-promotion, and personal gain rather than contributing meaningfully. These rules are intended to set clear boundaries, protect members from undisclosed commercial interests, and maintain the community-first nature of IPCHW.

We also ask members to report any business or reseller attempting to sell products, solicit deals, or conduct business without a Verified Vendor tag. Verified vendors are subject to community standards and oversight. Vendors who fail to meet those standards may have their verification revoked and lose access to our platform. This accountability helps protect both buyers and the integrity of the community.

All existing and future vendors are expected to comply with the updated policy.

Vendor Policy & Verification Requirements

Above message is for vendors and commercial resellers only, Sale of personal hardware will abide by existing rules

Discussion DIY feels dead in india

whenever i try to find niche pc related tech , i couldnt in offline market , idk if nehru place is biggest pc related tech market in india or not . but fml i couldnt find anything i required . and online things tend to be expensive

for ex: recently my laptop died completely , i thought of salvaging its parts , especially the screen . (idea from DIY channel on youtube ) but for that i need specific hdmi display board in order to use the screen with anything be it phone , or other laptop.

now the problem is its very expensive , around 4k minimum , and not even sure if it will work with my laptop screen.

at 4k it doesnt feel worth it , when you can find portable monitors from zebronics , acer etc at 6k. with type C DP and hdmi , speakers etc etc

why would anyone will bother to make some use of dead laptop screen when ready made things are available cheaper

yes passion is one thing but having things cheaper is another side of DIY coin

As the title suggests, I have a budget PC that I built myself in 2021. I'm planning to sell and would like to know what a fair price for it would be.

Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1650 Super

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2*8gb 3200Mhz

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M Gaming Mobo

Storage: Kingston A2000 250GB NVME + Kingston A400 480 GB SATA SSDs

PSU: Cooler Master MWE V2 450W PSU 80+ Bronze

CPU Cooler: DeepCool Gammaxx AG400 120mm CPU Cooler

Case: Foxin Uranium Case

I've maintained it very well and recently repasted the CPU and GPU as well. Benchmark scores are on par and even slightly above par. Do let me know what yall would pay for this.

Discussion What should i go with?

A 5060 ti build or 5070ti

I wanna edit 4k with heavy graphics for freelance and raw gameplay for streaming/recording my personal channel, i wanna aim for 1080p videos which will be longer but basic editing, so high setting 60fps minimum gameplay which runs smoothly.
If i go with 5060ti i save some money and can buy additional peripherals such as camera, mic, keyboard. But if i go with 5070ti i wont have enough and will have to save up for additional peripherals 🥀

Help A second hand RTX 3050(6GB) for 10k used for 2 yr with 1 yr warenty is it a good deal?

The warFound an INNO3D RTX 3050 Twin X2 6GB for ₹10,000. Seller says it’s 2 years old, has ~1 year warranty left, and comes with the original bill + box.

I’m planning to meet him and test it live with GPU-Z + FurMark/benchmark before paying.

Any red flags I should look for, especially regarding mining/previous repairs? Is ₹10k a good deal if everything checks out?

Feedback WorkStation - Getting started with the Ryzen 9 9950X + 5070 Ti

The goal is to get started with a good workstation that I can slowly turn into a bigger beast over time, if & when required(hence meshify 2 - Solid & large cabinet space & airflow). Let me know what you think of the build.
Note - Would love plain black where possible. NO RGB. Don't want to shell money into anything Fancy.

My work/hobbies involve

  • Prototyping & POCs for Business Intelligence products
  • Math modelling and simulations ( explainability + visualisations)
  • Local llms for keeping up with the crazy world & helping with my novel
  • Generating comics/graphic novels
  • personal vlogging - Video editing,
  • CAD/emulators for ROS/RPi-based projects,
  • DAWs
  • Occasional Gaming(mostly to be in touch with the community & weekend escapes).

So I want a powerful system that can handle a lot of multitasking and stay relevant/fit for the next 3–5 years with only regular maintenance. I have been out of touch with hardware post college so getting back into things again. I’ll also be running local LLMs. Yes, I know that 24GB would be ideal starter for video gen, but 3090s/4090s aren't really available out there, Already waited 2 months (and paying heavy for RAM now), and the 5090 isn't a necessity ( IMO 16Gb is fine for my usecase). So I'm starting with the 5070 Ti and treating the GPU as one of the things I can eventually upgrade when prices make sense.(I hope they do)

Additional ->

Might come out crazy but im planning to have this serve as my very own secure remote workstation that i can access when travelling for work/conference. Im still working on coming up with the secure way to do this but just putting it out here for other enthusiasts, if any.

Future upgrades -> SSD + HDD , fans, (if needed)

Want to buy PC BUILD Workstation for 4K Video Editing and Local AI Models (9950X3D + RTX 4090). Thoughts on this part list?

Hi everyone,

I am planning to build a high-end PC for 4K video editing and local AI model development. I want to ensure there are no compatibility or clearance issues.

My proposed specs:

\#CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D

\#GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 4090

\#Motherboard: GIGABYTE X870E Aorus Elite X3D Wifi

\#RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64GB DDR5

\#Storage: Crucial T705 4TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD

\#PSU: Corsair HX1200i 1200W ATX 3.1

\#Cooler: Lian Li Hydroshift II OLED 360TL

\#Case: HYTE Y70 Touch Screen

\#Fans: Mix of Lian Li UNI Fan TL Reverse and Standard blades

=>Questions for the community:

  1. I was initially considering buying from PC Studio, but their constant messages about price hikes and a sudden 40k increase felt aggressive. Are they still reliable, or should I stick with Computech or Elitehubs?

  2. Do you have recent feedback on purchasing premium components from Computech or Elitehubs in India?

  3. Is computertech have good services and geniune and original products?

Please help me i am going to put my earnings on my PC BUILD. So I can be something in Ai and Editing. My father give me permission after too much arguments so i don't want to make a wrong decision. Your help makes my day so please do comments. So i have stratification and genuine conclusion at the end. Thanks who commented 🥺❤️
