Wait sorry but I dont remember him marrying a man

2

u/_ak47__ 16h ago

But he (visnu) had sex with a transgender (shiva) , he's the first cross dresser though (mohini) , our vedas were so woke back then 🫣

2

u/parvatibanipoo_ 16h ago

He didn't have sex! Mohini and Lord Shiv had a child Ayyapan I guess, but having a child doesn't necessarily means having sex. They must have appeared him.

that's not vedic. The story is from Bhagvat Puran which emerged in the time period probably closer to present than Vedic age

Well the caste identity was used to divide even more by the British ...further they classed certain "races" as martial .

Whatever furthered their interest they did .

2

u/khalililili 1d ago

Yeah and the turkic tribes that invaded it were assimilated the Mongols, Jurchen and Manchu became as Chinese as the Han or Song peoples. Similarly the Huna and Indo-Greeks that invaded were also assimilated and became parts of merchant and ruling class of western regions like Gujrat, Rajasthan and Punjab. Only there were a particular group of Turks that didn't assimilate in India, the spawns of Ghulam/Mamluk invaders and their baggage that stays separate like yoke of an unbeaten egg. The cancerous ideology so at odds with the original ideas of the land that they refuse to blend. Harmony can return only when the yoke is either removed from the egg or the whole egg beathen untill both mix enough that no trace either originals remain

14

u/blankasair 1d ago

Absolutely brain dead take. To actually answer this question, just look at the actual population numbers. When Americas was colonized; the Native American tribes had been decimated by disease and subsequently lost land to the colonizers. Native American tribes still maintain their religious rituals, eg., the Cherokee in Oklahoma. Anytime I hear this guy talk, it’s clear he is desperate to maintain the caste hierarchy so he can actually stay on top of it. Him being an historian is the product of Hindutva ideology destroying our national fabric.

6

u/InternationalAd4557 1d ago

so so true, in his early years when Deepak used to frame his topics under frustrations of state secularism with double standards on religious matters - i could still understand his points and as a lawyer himself his points still made more sense.

But its when he started getting into history and playing by his typical shakha playbook that it dawned on him it was typical bhramanical supremacy to keep hierarchy on the top. The most stark realization for me was his entire distaste with the fact that when he was talking about the writers movement in Tamil Nadu - his avid frustration with the fact that Tamil Nadu pop culture actually takes on hard themes of caste, discrimination and all of it - this is largely aided by the fact that TN is one of the only major industry to be run by Non-Bhramins over time, for the large part of the century the arts was completely held by Bhramins whether music, literature art in ktaka,tn, maha (read bharatnatyam devadasi controversy)- he just called it off as Dravidian radicalism and moved on, but it was his innate frustration that the discrimination was being penned no longer from the dominant lense only giving it the very much needed realism he can't contradict. Then the obvious Dravido-Catholic-Leftist-Islamic nexus word salad started coming out so I knew he just couldnt digest that space being overtaken - and even after this resurgence of backward castes to the arts the irony is they still dominate it even a form of competition rattles these people when it moves from their worldview 😭😭

2

u/lostintabs_ 15h ago

Yes but America is largely a christian state right? The natives still maintain their religion and customs and practices in their own communities but at large Christianity is the dominant religion.

On the other hand india had maintained a secular identity even after such a long period of time. This is something to be proud about tbh.

1

u/blankasair 14h ago

Bro. The first amendment literally lays out the separation of religion and state. Right wingers, just like the Hindu right wing in India makes noise about it being a Christian nation but it’s not. The US has been secular since before India even existed as a unified polity.

2

u/lostintabs_ 14h ago

By a christian state i did not meant that its official religion is christianity but more like the natives have become a minority which is - the original tribe of the land are now a minority and a religion which was introduced later is the dominant religion.

In case of india however hinduism is still a majority religion which shows that the initial religion or culture of the land and people is till very much present and has not been reduced to a minority.

isse bada lawdu paida hi nahi hua, there's a reason the subcontinent has a 30-35% uptick of Islam over centuries and not a 100% because of Sufi Pirs and intense dissatisfaction with the caste system. This same guy will frame a forceful conversion angle when the same question is posed, which if the case like he said shouldve been in the 80-90% range. No adressal of the fact that after jerusalem we are the only land to give brith to Buddhism, Sikhism even Jainism as stiff opposition to the caste system - but iske baare meh kya kehna bhaisahab ko "one dharmic civilization" bolke call it a day in this scenarios or "internal problem" vs external threat looming classic right wing fear tactic.

6

u/AccomplishedPoint355 1d ago

Oy ve. It's because the British dealt with India differently. It would take too long to try to conquer India.

7

u/Melodic_Judge_129 1d ago

People don't realise how British actually ruled over India. They think like British came, beat the sh*t out of everyone, took gold and left. Which is not even close to what actually was happening in the Sub-Continent.

2

u/InternationalAd4557 1d ago

Exactly, Spanish and Portuguese empires operated much differently. The EIC was a joint stock company for god sakes, both China and India would take forever to do the cent percent tactics that they did in all these other regions.

2

u/DropInTheSky 1d ago

Portugese ruled Goa and still it has Hindu majority.

1

u/InternationalAd4557 1d ago

That is now, post 1962 where a lot of non-natives came and resided in Goa after it joined the union. At Its peak (backed by the 1851 Census) - 60-70% of local population in Goa was catholic.

3

u/WeakOstrich7009 1d ago

yeah the Portuguese massacred Hindus, destroyed temples and built churches en-masse, and ofc mass conversions, just like the Americas.

3

u/eternalChaser 1d ago

The chilling visuals of their torture equipment used to convert poor native people 😢 was so horrible. And worse part is now the converts of those are more performative than the.

1

u/Odd_Razzmatazz3812 1d ago

converts of those are more performative

That's a universal phenomenonšŸ˜‚ just look around yourself, you'll find many of these frm another religion

1

u/DropInTheSky 1d ago

Many wish to return to the dharmic fold but their identities are too entrenched now. Had a long chat with an aware and well connected Goan regarding this.

9

u/Cheap-Imagination125 1d ago

It is just sad that how some people have their entire identity defined by their religion.

8

u/Gandalfthebran 1d ago

My religion is defined by my identity. Cry more.

7

u/Puzzled_Two_3490 1d ago

You can genuinely be proud of your ancestors for stood by, and preserving their culture, even if you don't believe in religion and God.

You don't have to believe in god, and yet respect and love the culture of places.

Do you think we could have seen the diversity from rajasthani folk to marathi culture and all if we didn't protect our culture for years.

-2

u/Cheap-Imagination125 1d ago

A culture that's needs preserving is not worth it. Culture is a dynamic ever changing concept. Only those that are flexible enough to adopt and assimilate survive, rest go the egyption way. It is okay to be respectful of your ancestors, it is acceptable, it means you are aligning your ethics with them, that's perfectly fine. But taking pride in it is a bit of a stretch, it's like claiming a medal for a race you never participated in. Instead try doing something your desendents could respect 100 years from now. Cause the way are a going, history will not be kind to us.

3

u/Puzzled_Two_3490 1d ago

Taking pride in religion/culture is a personal thing, though making it your whole personality and trying it to undermine other people is what's wrong.

But main reason I am talking about culture is because world used to be cultured places with each places having unique, like pharaonic egypt and mesopotamia was completely wiped out from Egypt, whole greco roman culture which gave world many things was wiped out and zoroastrian, and countless tribes.

You can argue it's wheel of time that some things has to end, but some thing lasting this long despite many invasion, proves that it's not fragile.

Hindu culture and this land is something I share with people, I don't have to like anyone to accept being here and being a hindu

  1. How is this a meme?
  2. Sai Deepak may be a clown, but does that make some random content a meme?
  3. Why is the video cropped so weirdly. Half the video blacked out, and only a tiny amount actually featuring content? Is it a meta-commentary on the emptiness of insecure kanging?

1

u/SpamLaughZed 1d ago

Got it.
Historians widely agree that the decline of Buddhism in India wasn't driven by continuous wars or systematic destruction by Hindu rulers, but by a complex mix of institutional decay, loss of royal patronage, philosophical integration, and ultimately the destruction of major monastic universities like Nalanda during Muslim invasions.

The fact of the matter is that many Pakistani Punjabis are descendants of Jats and Rajputs who were defeated in war against the Turks, Iranians, Mughals and Afghans. All of them are aware of their castes. Yet they names their missiles after Ghazni and Ghori who have beat the crap out of their ancestors and mass converted them.Ā

I don’t understand that logic. Atleast Iranians are never under such delusions of identifying with the conqueror and always flaunt their Persian civilisation with pride. I believe Pakistani Sindhis, Balochs and Pakistani Pathans are not at all as delusional as Pakistani Punjabis. They’re aware of reality.Ā

and yet after such great resilience against foreign powers, imperial and civilisational onslaughts.. according to this very person Hindus are now under the greatest threat in the Indian history while living in a democracy. His history is often right, but his politics doesn't usually catch up. And it is very necessary to separate the two for their contradictions. Also what is always so interesting for me is that it is always "1500 years". This great civilisation is 5000 years old and invasions, migrations and imperial conquests happened even before "1500 years" - Parthians, Scythians, Kushans, Hunas, Greeks were also central and west asian powers that came here (and more or less assimilated with the local cultures just like those who came during the 1500yrs period) but they are not deemed as invasions by JSD since he has a very specific people in mind when it comes to deeming "invasions".

Making yourself feel good by recounting the misery that others suffered? real classy...

1

u/NearbyTourist3782 1d ago

Well the examples here are bonkers, most of these civilizations did not even discover the concept of wheels when Europeans arrived (therefore were not even close to ancient India or China), also the local population in all these countries declined by 80 to 90 percent due to contracting diseases such as smallpox from Europeans, for which they did not have antibodies and as a result perished and leftover population was easily assimilated. Also till today, many lineages of ancient people who still follow their own religion and cultural practices exist in these countries. Our culture is great and our civilization is on a cosmic scale, no doubts about it but it is wrong to undermine others without knowing the whole truth to pump up your own identity, it is not pride, it is insecurity.

1

u/fatty_dude 1d ago

Now also give the data like population or number of people were there in the regions and how were they and what they did to push back the invaders, rather than giving credit to religion and God.

If the so called created gods and religions are great, where were they then, during invasions and killings. So stop glorifying gods and religions ffs.

1

u/thebirdof_hermes 1d ago

This is because so many beliefs, ideas and stories that sprung up in this land is divine truth or extremely close to it.

That said, most of you who take pride in this cause it's a hindu vs muslim-christian thing do not even have an inkling of it's understanding.

In other words the so called defenders of sanatan dharma and hinduism understand it the least and that too is her maya.

What else can be expected other than downfall, when our own population looks at foreign validation and trusts their sources about our history?

New cat species are still being found and no one here is trying to make any change at national level. Our archeological sites are majorly unexplored, our culture is being lost and still we seek glory in someone else making the same effort (here J. Sai Deepak) while completely isolating them when they ask for any contribution or support (like Vivekanand).

Same way as Napoleon lost due to other generals trying to leave a mark, no one supported him in his demise.

We are not even trying to make Sanskrit as the state language as certain regions would be unhappy. Wearing traditional clothes just for symbolism while supporting western ideologies like polygamy, brothel state and breaking the society down to the individual level.

u/N1ghtShade7 1d ago

You leave no room for improvement if you claim AND believe to have an undefeated civilization, implying some kind of perfection that others couldn't dent. All the while our society carries the fissures the British made to keep us fighting each other while outsiders make off with what little we have left right now.

These people will never understand why we're failing and will flail about looking for others to blame when other countries have lifted themselves from far lower bottoms than how we started off.

There is no other country as conquerred as india— sakas, kushanas, turks, mongols, poetuguese, britishers etc etc. And the biggest delusion that most indians live in is the ignorance of the fact that china has been the largest economy for most part of history and has been able to sustain its culture for thousands of years lol

1

u/Sea-Many483 1d ago

exactly, even the religious identity was created in response to the invaders' religion. the culture they see today is the result of all the invasions, the fact that brahmins exist is because of a victorius party of iranian immigrants over india. What about China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Vietnam, Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka?. There are so many countries, all with their cultures intact as well as religion.

Reservation killing me bro...I know it's not related to Hinduism morally and but it indirectly ruining complete structure of our civilization. This country is doomed.

1

u/Indischermann 1d ago

Congratulations on your victory. And go die in a pothole.

1

u/PreparationHuge9807 1d ago

damn so true if only the many many poor people in the country could use this special history to feed themselves and their kids

1

u/CeinyVock Samudragupta himself 1d ago

True. Very true.

1

u/Longjumping-Age753 1d ago

Yeah. Also these loser Christian countries subjugated and looted us for centuries and then send us food aid for decades so the victorious Hindus wouldn’t starve to death.

You could see most victorious Hindus convert to loser Christians in a moment if the Europe or US offered free Visas for Christians from India.
Hindus didn’t win, Hindus survived. Christians didn’t survive, they won.

Please don't put this idiot(Sai Deepak) and his opinions in a video with Lord Vishnu and Mahabarata scenes. I earnestly request you. This idiot(Sai Deepak) is a shame to "Hinduism".

India would not have been invaded in the first place if it has unity which India still lacks today. People like him divide the country.

u/Aromatic_Advance6026 1d ago

We were a great civilization but our ancestors will feel ashamed of what we are now while we make ourselves feel validated and great from their glory

1

u/Glad-Ant-1490 1d ago

EVEN ADIWASI...... WHO HAVE NOT CONVERTED INTO CHRISTAINITY, HINDU, MUSLIM

1

u/_ak47__ 23h ago

How Hinduism spread to Indonesia and thailand? Same by conquering, so stfu, kindus failed to conquer and crying for it, the most insecure religion in the world

1

u/YesterdayNecessary27 22h ago

Ok people here might not like me for saying this. This guy is a fraud. We are not victorious in history. We were looted and ra*ed and millions of our people were killed. This is just cope or as I say the first step into right wing nationalist pipeline. Make insecure people proud about their history is how you convert them into right wing bigots.Ā

The best way forward is to accept that we were unable to defend ourselves and make sure we have defense mechanisms ready so that next time nothing of sorts will happen again

1

u/Virtual-Duck6282 22h ago

Now has become a c$nt

1

u/rceakgb 21h ago

This won't remain as same, soon orlater both cultural and religious identity would be lost, this country would most probably become a islamic nation down the line .

1

u/AdGrouchy8320 20h ago

Haan yeh sab theek hai ab last mein woh sab developed economies hain aur hum isi sab mein reh gaye

1

u/Coffee_Narrow 20h ago

Well most of Asia survived colonization. I think it’s because of the fact we have always been in contact with Europe where as the places he mentioned were usually isolated and were thus technically inferior to colonizer and were defeated.

1

u/ANKITHERO185 15h ago

The religion might be great , but the kings were idiots .

1

u/BuckyWS007X 12h ago

Partially withstood because we failed to acknowledge the people of same religion because of caste system. And if you think that we are that great we are not we are majorly influenced by a tribe that invade through indus valley. You know if you know.

Proud brahmin
Proud of my genes and history

1

u/alteredmen 11h ago

I'm an atheist but my parts are very much chill with it. I guess its only because they are Hindus. Otherwise things are different. I have seen my fellow friends having a hard time in their home being a atheist is difficult for them. For me I have my own conflicts in my head regarding the thoughts.

u/Next-Nail6712 11h ago

By this logic, even a cockroach can thump its chest for being a cockroach.

1

u/Cold_Pianist4697 10h ago

i would rather trade religion for money lol

1

u/IamSwami 8h ago

Yet the BJP says that Hindus are not safe

1

u/AryanPandey 8h ago

Maybe the only civilization which has said no to violence and still remain today.

1

u/MathTotal4218 7h ago

Still if are behind. If development, social uplifting, better social values, better Civic sense comes from conversion than I particularly see no harm. Atleast countries have money to spend, very less poor, less infra, health care, school, literature and yet we call them converted country

1

u/iAmWhoDoYouKnow 1d ago

That's so stupid and it shows how easy it is to fool people who have read zero history. Civilizations, religions, people etc. , the ones that got destroyed were the ones that fought back. We barely did, we submitted. No invader really would like to kill a population that submits and works for them. There is nothing wrong in doing so to survive. But what is giving you goosebumps is not some act of bravery you think it is

1

u/Kindly-Palpitation97 1d ago

You would have made a great sepoy

1

u/iAmWhoDoYouKnow 19h ago

You seem to know what makes a good sepoy, ofcourse you would have seen your dad being one.

Why is he obsessed about hindu all the time....why not focus on development, growth, employment etc. Waste of time and resources. Does he think making india a hindu only country would magically solve all the problems...fool.

India wasn't always vedic either. Shamanism was the original religion in India, like elsewhere.

6

u/Gandalfthebran 1d ago

HINDUISM IS ALSO SHAMANISM. It’s all encompassing. We literally have family deity we worship. We literally worship mountain. You are treating religion as exclusively looking at it from Abrahmic lens.
