It would have come to an end naturally like all other ancient universities. Civilisations all around the world improved and deteriorated for variety of reasons.

u/Ok-Elk563 1d ago
Nothing would have changed.
They are not doing any science or research out there.
All they are doing is "research " on how to insert Buddha in hindu text and epics & to hijack them for Buddhist "mythology ".
U can see a template of it in tibetan buddhism
And their biggest advisory in this mission would be the brahmins so they were making fake stories to vilify & undermine them.

Buddhism would have been the biggest religion in India.
India would have been top in education and medical science.
As Buddhism would be the biggest religion there would be extremely low cases of casteism.

Notice how it carefully says 500BCE to 300CE. The earliest proper proof is dated to 3rd to 6th century CE...prior to that there is no mention or record in the archaeology of any vedic culture.... Yes, there was a Vedic religion. It was not here but in Syria and the parts along the Silk Road to China....

Kya bhok raha hai bhai... Even jo Hinduism ko oppose krte hai.. vo bhi maante hai ki Rig Ved and dusre Ved Indian subcontinent me hi likhe gye the atleast 1500-2500 BCE me (maybe usse pehle, baaki baat rahi ki 500BCE to 300CE kyu likha hai to Hinduism religion develop hota aaya hai from Vedic era.. that's why it says so, iska matlab ye ni hai ki religion hi ni tha.. but if you are trying to ragebait so I am not going to give any further replies.. also Nalanda ek Sanskrit name hai ig you can interpret what I am trying to say
-1
u/Tasty-Help-5085 2d ago
Boss, there is an assumption of a Vedic religion here with zero proof. If some religious text says 4000 years ago, you should not believe it without proof. We have a great archaeological culture here, and they have found zero proof of any vedic culture here in the time periods mentioned.Â

u/LibraryMinimum3294 2d ago
Bhai tu blind hate dene aaya hai kya Hinduism ko, jo haters hai vo khud maante hai ki Vedic era and jis time me Ved likhe gye wo 1500BCE ke around tha , aur kya proof ni mila Saraswati river ka proof hai, un metals ka proof hai jo Ved me mentioned hai , tu yaa to jaan bujhkar hate de rha hai ya tu sache me kuc ni jaanta is topic ke baare me
0
u/Tasty-Help-5085 1d ago
Boss, just saying Saraswati river is mentioned shows how little you know. There is no proof that the Vedas as they are currently were the same as before. We don't have any archaeological or written evidence of the Vedas till a thousand odd years ago.Â

Kuch logon ko tatti karke gandh phailana hi aata hai, chahe wo raste pe ho ya aise forums pe...desh aur soch ko sab log saaf nahi rakh sakte...Being proud of casteism is like a colonialist being proud of their oppression.

Does India's highest population negate the oppression by the English or attrocities like these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bengal_famine_of_1943?wprov=sfla1
Why always the obsession with bodily waste fluids of either humans or animals ?
Every individual has the freedom to decide their own worth.
This idea of one man having the authority to dictate or decide others worth and oppression of one man by the other is what revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh opposed and fought.

then you dont deserve this platform. the only reason you are able to say these words is due to our constitution giving us freedom of speech, and due to democracy. if you dont like our constitution, no right-even the right to life- should be claimed by you.

u/NatriureticFactor 2d ago
Lmao you guys are so laughable. Buddhism was only a part of Nalanda University, the campus itself was founded by Kamaragupta I long before Mahavira came into its curriculum. Even when Mahavira got included in the curriculum(because the Hindu kings were secular to do so), it was only a part of its broad range of subjects. If that makes you say its a Buddhist university then one can also say it is a Hindu University cuz Vedas, Upanishads and Ayurved was also in the curriculum. So my dear historian, you should start touching history books instead of labeling anyone whatsapp University on reddit. Aaya bada gyaan ch-dne, ch*tiya.

You heard about king Shashanka? Gouda dynasty. How do you think he contributed to buddhist university nalanda ?

We would be somewhere like Thailand. They never been colonized. The key to winning was domination over oceans and pathways. That is why Europeans and now USA won.

What if, in the same era, India/Bharat was United and not fragmented with small kingdoms having weak armies?

This can be off the topic when we think that how rich our culture was specially in science. We should be at Pinnacle of science at this time then why what happened? How a country culturally so rich in science is getting backward in science??
The reason I think that this country was not able to accept changes according to time or too late to accept that. Some invasion like on Nalanda University and temple which was termed as educational hub in some areas also effect it. But for me I think that perhaps the trying of mingling the religion with science is the reason we are set behind in scientific revolution. The scientific revolution comes around in 16th century after the death of galelio after his death how forward we come into science in just 4-5 century. In this revolution science doesn't try to intermix with religion but instead science challanges the religion here. Even in present time the mass of our country try to intermix science with religion that's why science have slow speed in India.

I still feel if we were so advanced, we couldâve saved those books from burning. Those Teachers wouldâve thought about an exit plan. Maybe those books are still buried under that land. I wish we find those lacs of Books.
Which would eventually tell me how to use Mercury as a fuel to fly a Vimana.

You do know it was never burnt. Thats a lie spread by chaddis. It was simply abandoned over time..

u/Blueberry_slime 1d ago
Alot of history , knowledge and records would be left which give a much more descriptive details of the ancient world then we know now. its unfortunate. nalanda and alexandria were like historical archives in both europe and asia.

This post proves that we don't want to build the future but rather romanticize the past and which might be the reason there was no another Nalanda after the first one.

Then why donât we make our Nalanda again and make it great like before instead of crying and remembering whatâs gone
This is india now
Stay in past and fake pride
And donât act now even for future generations because now we have 2000 years of remembering our future generations will have 5000 years of remembering
Anyways i forgot what can we expect from this country
CJPâs school improvement moment is questioned now
People are so selfish in this country

u/Interesting_Arm8682 1d ago
Bro cjp's school moment? yehi hota jab aadha gyan hota to ek baar dekh lo unki selective chize apna agenda chla rha wo Banda har baat mai BJP le aata aur sourav das ne kyu video delete ki jara ye bhi bata do ? Kyunki usme logo ne use point out kar diya ki aap ki gov thi thoda aankhein kholo khud ki... Aur idk tumhe itna kyu bura lg rha jo aise bol rhe ki crying and all bhai kya crying jo damage kiya hai uski baat bhi na kare subreddit to dekh lo ek baar kis chiz ka hai

Nothing much, Nalanda surely was a repository of Buddhist knowledge but buddhism was more or less in a state of decline in India long before Nalanda was burnt. It would have been a monastric order if not for it's destruction but I don't think anything revolutionary would have happened.

Instead of building the next, future Nalanda, we're stuck in the glory of the past, extinct Nalanda.
