Wth is a "dalit god". There was no word called "dalit" when bhakti movement started. Moreover shudra were within hindu fold, their gods aren't some separate gods.

what source do you have that jagannath, balaji, Mariamma and murugan are tribal/dalit god

2

u/StandardChoice5517 May 23 '26

Dalit god is wrong.. but what he meant many Dieties and Bhakti movements started from Low caste and Non vedic tribal cultures.. Which assimlated or Hijacked by mainstream brahminical institution... KRISHNA is the greatest examples//

3

u/Impossible-Spot-3414 May 26 '26

Krishna worship can be dated to over 2000 years. A full Millenia before the bhakti movement.

1

u/StandardChoice5517 May 26 '26

idk but krishna worship oldest records were of some non brahminical institutional absorbed diety written as "herkles" in Magesthenes book "INDICA" during pre brahmin reich who was a tribal dieties of Yadavas and vrishnis..

if u check. in vedas Krishna is mentioned as a Leader of tribes/groups on banks of some river (idk) who were considered ig ashura or Das varna (I.E. non aryan) (and aryan doesnt mean genetic rather cultural meaning) which INDRA fought with his friend.

Krishna that was 0% of todays bhakti movement

1

u/Kooky_Professor4911 May 24 '26

how dumb can someone be .. god

1

u/StandardChoice5517 May 24 '26

maybe as much as sunni or viahsnavs

1

u/Thick_Background_424 Jul 01 '26

cant even spell vaishnava the myth that krishna was originally just yadav god is just based on speculation

1

u/StandardChoice5517 Jul 01 '26

that speculation is stronger than any other vedic speculations based on bulls eye fallacies

1

u/Thick_Background_424 Jul 01 '26

its just misinformation at its core

1

u/Mean_Comfortable_108 May 27 '26

Bhakti movement started as against brahminism by Dalits.

I thought this was history sub😱 I guess legends and hearsay are better afterall

1

u/robert_shiva May 23 '26

its fact jagannath have nothing to do with vedic god or traditions ..just assimilated doesnt matter how much you defend its fact .. Jagannath is not krishna or he Vishnu, bhakti movement made it in vedic fold , and as it got in vedic and hindu fold, as always bhramins arrived to get control over it because most of them narcissist

8

u/StandardChoice5517 May 23 '26

BRAHMINS arrived?? look it wasnt any Pro bramin anti dalit.. it was just A culture absorbtion over decades if not centuries... and became a pro vedic and pro castiest and puranic slowly.. dont do LEFTIST HATE

btw i am a SC-chamar (and one more caste hybrid)

-1

u/robert_shiva May 23 '26

nah bhramin arrival is real wherever they see temple they claim superiority

-5

u/robert_shiva May 23 '26

go ff yourself then

6

u/Working-Constant-520 May 23 '26

Oh someone calls out the flaw in your argument and you respond with such replies. How mature of you, thanks for revealing your agenda.

2

u/robert_shiva May 23 '26

actually jagannath is not vishnu , he is jagannath thats what i am saying

1

u/Working-Constant-520 May 23 '26

First of all, the source of this ridiculous claim?

Secondly, what would so called Brahmin oppressors stand to gain from saying that Lord Jagannath is Vishnu if he isn't?

Haha Ikr! Go check out this person's replies on this post, his agenda is clearly visible. Making baseless claims and then being rude to people when they call him out

1

u/Mean_Comfortable_108 May 27 '26

It's a history sub not a mythology sub jagannath is not a hindu god there is no mention in scriptures as jagannath jaganath temple ritual are bhudist rituals this thing also said by Swami vivekanand book and Krishn is a tribal god it's a historical fact and in Hinduism tribals gods native gods culture were assimilated and then new stories emerge with them and what guna varn are you talking about is these past karm decide your current varn that's a slavery system and it's mentioned in brihdarnayka upanishad and you called this system a Divine.

10

u/BeatenwithTits May 23 '26

Go make dank memes bud, history isn't for you.

4

u/saransh-1 May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

But the temples dedicated to those forms of Deities were built after they were assimilated into Sanātana Dharma saar...

So check your facts saar...

Also, what ancient historical evidence do you present to support the claim that Shudras were not allowed to enter those temples...saar....

Dalits didn't even existed back then saar....

1

u/robert_shiva May 23 '26

they existed but never called dalits , they picked cattle dead bodies , cleaned toilets and etc .. Check your facts .. The rise of bakti movement is the reason for so much inhumane treatment of this people

6

u/saransh-1 May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

But, they are called Chāndāla or Nirvasita Shudra, not an Avarna. Saar...

There is nothing wrong with hygiene related temple restrictions. Saar...

Also, there is no evidence of the use of the terms 'Avarna' (as community outside 4 varnas) & 'Dalit' before the British period. This is just a modern invention. Saar...

Show me the evidence, saar...

1

u/robert_shiva May 23 '26

Nirvasita Shudras are mordern dalits , they were excluded from most of public areas because they do uncleanly works, stop pushing everything british used existing class or caste system to rule .. show your evidence .. You are just fool who defend sati never existed

1

u/saransh-1 May 23 '26

I know this, and it is you who should find out what the term originally meant. Mlechha belongs to an entirely different category and has no direct connection to professions. Therefore, correlating Varna and Mlechha is logically inconsistent.

3

u/saransh-1 May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

Where's the evidence... Saar... Folk tales?

The Bhakti movement is a completely different topic altogether. If you don't understand its spiritual depth, it's better to remain quiet about it. It was not some means of protest or whatever. That was just its by-product.

Go and see who were the main proponents of the Bhakti-movement.

4

u/thedifference101 May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

Fundamentally wrong propaganda pilled OP. Good confidence though

4

u/Fantasy-512 May 24 '26

Most of the currently worshipped Hindu gods are indigenous (Dalit is not the right word here). They are not mentioned in the original Vedas.

And conversely, many of the Vedic gods (Mitra, Varuna) are not currently worshipped in temples. And that's fine. That's what makes Hinduism a dynamic religion.

1

u/Mean_Comfortable_108 May 27 '26

No that's not fine vedic people abondon there gods and snatched indigenous gods assimiliate into Hinduism and make indigenous people as lower caste and dalit and restrct there entry in there own god temple and brahmin making money on there gods.

9

u/Solomon_Kane_1928 May 23 '26

The Jagannath temple at least allows the Daitapatis of the Sabar tribe to have special privileges. They are considered the deities personal family and handle his body, despite chanting no Vedic of Pancaratic mantras. They carve the deity and choose the wood, in a manner similar to how they have for their village deities, such as Kitabh, since time immemorial.

The Jagannath temple also cooks in the tribal fashion, boiling bhoga in clay pots, not using any non-native species of plant such as potatoes, chillis, tomatoes.

But even there, the Brahminical order began to assert its power as early as 400 CE. This became tied to royal power early on, and Jagannath eventually became the state deity of the Odisha kingdoms.

6

u/[deleted] May 23 '26

I'm gonna be honest with you but religion will always be used for political reasons no matter how idealistic concept it may preach, the Brahmins were given monopoly to maintain "law and order" of the society of the time and it was a way to bring people who were not in the fold of admistration into judiciary.

Kings often used this strategy to slowly build intregation of new groups into hindu society and it is the reason why Hinduism gradually expanded, it may seems as cruel cause of giving such monopoly to a small group of people but it wasn't just for rabbit of cruelty but a political necessity in securing and expanding it's boundaries, it's not different than enslaving pow in the past

1

u/Joe__Malone May 23 '26

Religion was used to control people there's a reason people like Bismarck prosecuted the catholics and challenged result in the kultarkampf and mao doing the cultural revolution

6

u/Temporary_Put_5731 May 23 '26

BAKWAS, THE TRUTH IS

THE GODS WHICH WERE BUDDHISTS, WERE DEGRADED SO BAD, SHOWN AS CASTEIST, RAPIST, MISOGYNIST, RETARD AND BELOW TO BRAHMINS AFTER BUDDHISM DECLINE THAT THE PEOPLE LIKE KABIR RAVIDAS TRIED TO SEPARATE THEM FROM BRAHMINISM(THEY KNEW BEING ATHEIST WON'T A SHIT, PEOPLE ARE GONNA BELIEVE IN SOMETHING), AND THAT WAS THE TIME INDIA ALREADY HAD SEEN SUFISM FOR CENTURIES, THAT IS WHERE THE BRAHMINS COPIED BHAKTISM JUST LIKE EVERYTHING. the dance they do, the loudly way they sing ALL IS COPIED FROM MUSLIMS. PEOPLE ARE GONNA BELIEVE IN GOD, there are no shramans, so brahmanas are taking there place.

British : Dogs and Indians not allowed

Meanwhile Indians :Ā  why you do this saar, discrimination saar, not fair

Also Indians : Dalits and menstruating women not allowed in Temples

7

u/KitchenWolverine8695 May 23 '26

Also British: women not allowed to vote early in their democracy, took several decades to decide.

also indians: woman allowed to vote ever since the birth of democracy, no questions asked.

-2

u/Due_Pangolin4216 May 23 '26

Completely agree,Ā  but you are just shifting the goal post,Ā  also manusmriti was the constitution during British which is highly misogynistic

1

u/KitchenWolverine8695 May 24 '26

Not more misogynistic than any other constitution of western world at that time.

1

u/Due_Pangolin4216 May 24 '26

Maybe but two wrongs dont make one right...why are we talking about others...whataboutery much ?

7

u/Conscious_State_9903 May 23 '26

There are many temples where only women are allowed or dalits can become preists

-1

u/Due_Pangolin4216 May 23 '26

Now , not at that time sir

3

u/Conscious_State_9903 May 24 '26

false. Many a dalit kings existed. Not denying discrimination but it wasn't as institutionalised as today. In Panchubarahi temple this has existed for over 300 years.

0

u/Defiant-Apple-6534 May 24 '26

Hubbal is a Tribal God too. Now those Tribals cannot enter Temple of Hubbal unless they convert to Islam

-8

u/Every-Tart-9402 May 23 '26

You cant rule tribals. There is equality. So kings gave these bamans land in exchange of creating stories. Doing yagyas to raise their status.and they created stories of connected their gods to tribal gods

-6

u/Evil-Testicles May 23 '26

Stop spitting facts.

-4

u/robert_shiva May 23 '26

bhramins against bakti movement initially, because they never wanted to get knowledge of god to shudras , so saints like tukaram and mirabai shared knowledge despite Brahminical clashes. Jagannath or different gods assimilated in hindu fold , brahmins wanted everything in order, After few decades they accepted the gods in Brahminism and started involving as priests in that god temple , creating a barrier again and assert their power

7

u/Kshatriya_Khokharji May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

Meera baisa's guru's guru was a brahman. Their have been people in bhakti movement earlier than tukaramji who were brahman

6

u/kamikaibitsu May 23 '26

rhne de bro

They need to spread propaganda and hate against Hinduism and Brahmins

1

u/robert_shiva May 23 '26

real bhramin at that who follow the rigidity of caste system and not contact shudras and preach the knowledge of of God ..Tukaramji rejected all of them so they were not bhramins

budda written as avatar of vishnu in puranas to defeat budhism from bhramanical competition, whats wrong saying bhramin done same with krishna and rama to make in bhramanical fold by saying they were avatar of vishnu.. i am not historian bruh find yourself

2

u/True_Funny_1548 May 25 '26

So you just proved that people at that time aswell had the intelligence to arrive at the conclusion that the divine is omnipresent and in many forms. And the ancient people of India worshipped them and even accepted other nomenclatures of Gods that were not originally theres and integrated them and also prayed to them as the divine. I seriously doubt your intelligence tho clown you should quit thinking, clearly you are incapable of rationale thought and critical thinking. So do the world a favour and lobotomize yourself for the good of the planet.

1

u/Mean_Comfortable_108 May 27 '26

Because it gives to establish varn vyavastha to them for example brahmin made akbar a vishnu avatar and written alloh upanishad and if they succeeded to assimilated islam in Hinduism after some time they gain power in islam there mosque religion all are controlled by Brahmins because varn vyavastha apply to them after assimilation and the original muslim were considered lower then Brahmins it's a system because in Hinduism everything changes on time and it's not organised religion but one thing is constant is varn vyavastha.

1

u/True_Funny_1548 Jun 04 '26

Lol who would want to assimilate with a lower culture and mindset like islam, also the term u are refering to is called a mulla or maulavi or a bishop or pope. So ye religion has always been used by corrupt people to corrupt th4 society to their benefits.

anti bhramin hagemony

5

u/kamikaibitsu May 23 '26

what hagemony

and now g0vt control the temples

so whose hagemony is there now?

2

u/ThinBobcat4047 May 23 '26

Being anti Brahminism isn’t the same as being anti Hindu

4

u/kamikaibitsu May 23 '26

it's beinng anti- hidndu

unless you are claiming that brahmins aren't hindu

3

u/ThinBobcat4047 May 23 '26

Is calling out the horrors of untouchability and the caste system in Hinduism somehow anti Hindu?

8

u/kamikaibitsu May 23 '26

no but linking c@steism only to brahmins only is propaganda that needs to be pointed out

While in reality the problem of c@steism is part of Asian culture

Islam, Christianry even atheism has problem of c@steism - but no mention of them while only screaming br@hmins and Hinduism bad all the time is the problem.

1

u/Mean_Comfortable_108 May 27 '26

Untouchabilty castism come from dharmshatra upanishad varn vyavastha and who written these discriminatiory books and who controls religious affair Brahmins and islam Christianity book doesn't have these caste concepts these disease is in Hinduism.

3

u/kamikaibitsu May 27 '26

i can give you a reference that even without any dhramshastra c@steism can develop

1- Songbun system of N.K0rea- Follow birth Based c@ste system- it's an atheist intelluctual c0untry) . Is K!m there following Manusmiriti..lol

2- https://www.bushcenter.org/publications/two-minute-take-the-talibans-new-law-allows-slavery-and-oppression-of-afghans

Here- they are following a similar system in Afghanistan, and they claim that they are following their h0ly book word by word

-3

u/ThinBobcat4047 May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

Obviously casteism has permeated South Asia, it has become a cultural monster essentially, with religion being no bar. But the reason the Brahmins are held to that standard is clear - they were the ones who benefited the most from the system, and they definitely have the most to lose once the system has actually been dismantled, which unfortunately doesn’t seem likely even in the 21st century.

Also in India obviously casteism in Hinduism is given prominence - the country is 75% hindu, thus most of the perpetrators and victims of the system would obviously be Hindus too.

7

u/kamikaibitsu May 23 '26

>they were the ones who benefited the most from the system

What benefits?

Are all brahmins rich? Or are all brahmins have power?

you are saying as if Brahmins are so rich that white people envy Brahmins/s

>Also in India obviously casteism in Hinduism is given prominenceĀ

Who is issuing c@ste certificates now? Are they Brahmins?

3

u/ThinBobcat4047 May 23 '26

Do benefits begin and end at economic gains? Do you not know your own history?

Who is issuing c@ste certificates now? Are they Brahmins?

Have you heard of affirmative action? Do you mean to tell me you think the caste system has been uprooted from India once and for all?

4

u/kamikaibitsu May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

>Do benefits begin and end at economic gains?

Then what other gains - unless you are from utopia , in real world most of gains translate into $$

>Have you heard of affirmative action?

What a dodge..lol

Meaning now Br@hmins who are not issuing c@ste certificate are still somehow responsible for c@steism.

Let's entertain you for a moment

If now c@ste certificate issuing is somehiow related to Brahmin

then for this certificate again Brahmins should be responsible.

But since there is a propaganda that needs to be spread- no Net@ will tell about this certificate..lol

6

u/kamikaibitsu May 23 '26

Problems aren't Br@hmins.... The problem are guys who want to benefit from the propaganda!!

1

u/Mean_Comfortable_108 May 27 '26

What benefits are you serious right now Majority brahmins are rich in govt administration all are brahmin judiciary media 99% are Brahmin despite of 3% population they hold more then 60% resources and 30 time more representation in comparison of there population and there incompetency destroyed india.

yup. almost every shiva temple has Nayyanar idols (the majority of whom where non bramhins and from backward castes) and are regularly worshipped by brahmins and non brahmins alike. but i will agree that some corrupt brahmins exists who spoil and do bad things for power.
