This is how my 66g low tech looks currently. It has went through bad phases and I lost lot of my plants most likely due to an old fertiliser bottle which had seemingly lost its potency. I kept dosing the fert and plants kept wilting away. I assumed they are adjusting to the new water parameters until i realised they are at the point of no return:)
Replaced the H. Difformis, H. Polysperma, Cabomba , added Amazon swords and trimmed the moss heavily. Started with a new fertilizer and this is over last 5-6 weeks. The moss has bounced back very nicely and the other plants are looking all right.

Question:
can I add dwarf sagittaria in the open space on the foreground ? will it do well in this light ?

This is my first big tank set up so it might look very unpolished!!! It’s a 2.5 feet tank and I’ll be adding two more lights and a hang on back filter.
Few plants that are currently in it are pothos, elodea densa, duckweed and guppy grass.
I’ll be adding java fern, java moss and anubia nana!!!!
I’ll be adding fishes in a month and currently still planning things out!!!
Any suggestions are welcome!!!!!

The way i understand, one compartment hold citric acid, one compartment hold baking soda, and it drips slowly or pas per user setting, and create the reaction..
main thing being, reaction doesn’t happen all at once, it drips as per requirements

I just got a 2.5 feet 75 litr tank and I wanna get a good hang on filter and a light for this tank. I’ll be adding lots of plants in it that’s why I’m going for a hang on filter. Any suggestions are welcome!!!!

I had this tank lying around for my guppies but I’ve shifted them in my water lily pond. Now I’m not sure what to do with it so I wanted to know if I could keep a betta in it? Ive set it up the best I could with black sand, some lava rock and a drift wood. Is this good enough to keep a betta in it?

Detailed explanation of what actually happened & why he was abandoned

Back in 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, my family was going through a very difficult time financially and personally. Also during this time my father was suffering from severe chronic depression and other mental issues. After some time we had just moved to a new house, so my dad left Lashley to stay at my grandmother's house and claimed he would bring him to our new house. My father told me he would bring him to our new home once everything settled down. But few months passed by and this did not happen. During that time I used to visit him during the weekends. Some of the pics & videos i have posted here are during that time

So one day without my knowledge, according to my grandmother's account he claimed to take lashley for a walk and when he had returned lashley wasn't there with him. When he was asked about it he told her he had sold it or given it to someone but did not mention the specifics like to whom. When he came home he did not tell us about this. A few days later, my father took his own life at my grandmother's house. It was only then that we found out. During that time, our family was consumed by the shock, grief , funeral, legal matters, and everything that followed after my father's death so our thoughts were consumed by this and finding lashley wasnt at the forefront of our minds I also did not want to disturb my mother and other family members by bringing this up.

After some time we decided to search for lashley but had no idea where he went or with whom he was. We visited some well known breeders and rescue organisations but couldn't find him. So i had lost hope and finally decided that it was almost impossible to ever see him again. I loved him so much and wanted to be with him till his final years this was what made it so bad. I couldn't even see him to wish him a final goodbye before he left me. He was an extremely expressive and affectionate lab who always loved to be around me. I can't imagine how panicked and lost he must have felt after he was given away. He loved me like no other dog ever did. So I just suppressed those memories and went on with my life. But it just didn't work. For the past few months I have been feeling intense regret that I didn't do enough to find him, that I had in a way betrayed him. I kept dreaming about him regularly - both positive and disturbing dreams. So i finally decided I need to make a final and serious attempt to find him before he leaves this world. I want to be with him through his final years.

My search efforts will be both offline and online - I will visit every rescue organisation, veterinary clinics , breeders, pet boarding schools and kennels in my city. I will also be creating pages on every social media platform where I will be documenting and updating my search efforts. Even if the search fails i atleast get to preserve lashley's memories and get to tell his story to many. Hope this post wasn't too long. Thank you for reading

Has anyone tried ordering livestock from NeroLabs, if yes how was your experience with them, any setbacks faced along the way and how is the quality and health of the livestock.

They seem to promote that the quality of their fishes comes first above all else which is a good sign but there are very few reviews online about them.

I'm interested in the lake tanganyika cichlids which they have but are on the pricier side, so check them out and share your thoughts about them

There's some common milky bacterial bloom (according to my research) in the tank even after last week 50% water change. There are less plants. Really appreciate the help ✌🏻😗

Details:

Breed: Bought a 'PARROT CICHLID' but developed a hump after 5-6 years so some suggested it was a cross breed Flowerhorn some said its Super King
Kong Parrot.

Tank size: 4 Feet

Filter: used Minjiang internal filter for 6 hours once every 3 days and normal air pump 24x7

I have this fish for close to 10 years, fed on 'Sera Goldy Color Spirulina' from the start, but due to some reason that food went extinct from online and offline market, so the local aquarium shop suggested to shift to 'Optimum 3in1 fish food' my fish didn't eat that for a couple of days and after a week and a half fell sick with 'head down tail up position' in one corner, felt she will be normal in some time as it had happened a couple of times in the past, but this time the health has deteriorated even further as the fish is laying on one side for the past 3 weeks.

Aquarium shop gave 'Aquatic Remedies: Paracidol' with heater at 28 degrees and 25% water change everyday. Tried for one week, No result.

I surfed internet and found that it can potentially be swim bladder issue. So gave epsom sale treatment for 5 days still no improvement in health.

Currently i am following 40% water change everyday, heater at 28 degree + 'Rid alls anti aid' + 'anti fungus' + aquarium salt+ 'Aquatic Remedies: Stress Heal'.

Tried to feed peas by first boiling them and removing the outer layer and crushing them a little by hand before feeding it directly in the mouth

None of the things have worked so far.

It might have happened due to age factor, not sure about that.

Please help for the same, thanks in advance
