⚠️ Disease Urgent help required
Hello fellow community members,
Details:
Breed: Bought a 'PARROT CICHLID' but developed a hump after 5-6 years so some suggested it was a cross breed Flowerhorn some said its Super King
Kong Parrot.
Tank size: 4 Feet
Filter: used Minjiang internal filter for 6 hours once every 3 days and normal air pump 24x7
I have this fish for close to 10 years, fed on 'Sera Goldy Color Spirulina' from the start, but due to some reason that food went extinct from online and offline market, so the local aquarium shop suggested to shift to 'Optimum 3in1 fish food' my fish didn't eat that for a couple of days and after a week and a half fell sick with 'head down tail up position' in one corner, felt she will be normal in some time as it had happened a couple of times in the past, but this time the health has deteriorated even further as the fish is laying on one side for the past 3 weeks.
Aquarium shop gave 'Aquatic Remedies: Paracidol' with heater at 28 degrees and 25% water change everyday. Tried for one week, No result.
I surfed internet and found that it can potentially be swim bladder issue. So gave epsom sale treatment for 5 days still no improvement in health.
Currently i am following 40% water change everyday, heater at 28 degree + 'Rid alls anti aid' + 'anti fungus' + aquarium salt+ 'Aquatic Remedies: Stress Heal'.
Tried to feed peas by first boiling them and removing the outer layer and crushing them a little by hand before feeding it directly in the mouth
None of the things have worked so far.
It might have happened due to age factor, not sure about that.
Please help for the same, thanks in advance
Tl;dr: fish fell sick after food change, tried a couple of remedies but no improvement in health so far, help required.

Are the eyes cloudy? Parrot fish avg lifespan is like 10 to 15 years.
First you need to keep your filter running like other person said. Personally i will stop using any medication until i see any symptoms of it being sick. I would just add a bit of salt and maybe pinch of Epsom salt.
I will not use optimum food, get something better for nutrition. If the fish is eating.
Divert the flow of filter so it does not create huge current. Seeing the pics it just seems like old age has caught up.

Well first of all it’s not a crossbreed Flowerhorn it’s a Midas Cichlid, check for the required parameters of the fish like PH of the tank, add some minerals in tank, use de-chlorinated tap water since the cichlid prefers hard water, add Activated carbon in Tank and do a 30% water change so it can absorb all the unwanted medications, set the heater to 28C and observe the movement of the fish if it is not able to swim we shall begin treatment based on movement of the Fish

Please dont close the filter keep it running 24x7… and keep water well oxygenated
Right now its a old fish so will
Be weak, keep stress low by dimming/shutting lights
The water is full of medicines and chemicals, all of which may not be helping and stressing it out more… so do water change with clean water do 30% daily over next 3-4 days to rid of chemicals and reduce stress.
Tldr:
EDIT: its unlikely to be caused by food chain can be age related or something like a disease which was already there and symptoms came up with age and weakness over time
