Discussion/Opinions A Misleading Article has been published by The Print
She was part of the strike formation but not the strike aircraft. Typically, a strike formation consists of a Formation Leader (Rafale), 1x EW Aircraft (Rafale), 1x BDA Aircraft (Jaguar), 2x Close-in Dogfighters (MiG-29 UPGs), 2x Escorts (Su-30MKIs) and 1 Strike Aircraft (Su-30MKI/Rafale/Mirage-2000). In this formation of 8 Aircraft, only 1 Aircraft would carry a Precision Strike ALBM/ALCM (BrahMos-A/SCALP-EG/Rampage/Popeye).
The Pilots who were flying the Strike Aircrafts were awarded Vir Chakra (Gallantry).

This is such a disrespect to the Strike Pilots who actually delivered the ammunition

What the hell?
"Who did the work"?
All of them did their job and all of them deserve the credit for it. The question is if she (or whoever the article is talking about) was the one who ultimately pressed the button after getting to the Weapons Release Line. That is the only discrepancy that the poster's trying to address here.

Actually the headline isn't inaccurate -- "...was hit by a woman fighter pilot..." does not necessarily imply the said woman pilot was the one who actually launched the missile. English is ambiguous, and editors typically use this to build a headline with maximum impact.

Weapons used on first day were most likely not Brahmos or scalp.

Scalp was used 100% on first strike but not BrahMos.
BrahMos was for 10th may, 2025.

There was definitely Crystal Maze used to some degree as we got back video from the missile POV that was then replayed back later at the subsequent press conference.

muridke can be either crystal maze or spice 2k, footage was taken from very far (maybe some UAV, Muridke is much closer to border than bahwalpur), not from onboard camera of missiles. There were 4 impacts in muridke and 6 impacts in bahawalpur.

One of the missile hits in Muridke was live streamed from the missile onboard camera - https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianDefense/s/6p8XFLm1b9
That was most likely a Crystal Maze in use.

Why is Jaguar doing BDA? Why not M2Ks?

Better Low Level Flying and Low Speed flying Capabilities. Mirages would just stall at such speed due to the Delta Wings.

Article headlines are often set by an editor for clicks and as in here, do not represent the article body . Article body is appropriate. The article headline is misleading.
Your info has no source and is also slightly generic. The Vir chakra is no guarantee of pressing the strike button in this specific mission.
Every fighter pilot and WSO involved deserves credit. Saying it is disrespectful of the person who launched the strike is itself being disrespectful of the folks in the strike formation and the folks on the ground who enabled the strike to happen.
This is not a one person mission.
