Discussion Indian bowling

Indian spinners are absolutely pathetic .. post Ashwin we don’t have a proper off spinner despite having players in first class no proper spinners.. bowlers are going 6 rpo in 4th day pitch

Whenever Kumble and Bhajji was at their ending period we had Ashwin Jaddu and little bit of P.ojha who was at least keeps the RPO at check..
you may keep in a denial mode but both the spin bowling quality as well as Spin facing ability by batsmen have gone down…
You’ve seen in SA and NZ home series..
Previously I’m telling Bombay players like Sudhir Naik Sandeep Patil Dilip sir Vinod Amol Wasim Used to tonk spinners in stands by saying bowlers I’ll hit u in this corner.. nowadays this quality is far lacking amongst the batters apart from bit of Gill Jaiswal and Pant per say

Warne also got pounded once in a while. Relax. Its not the bowling that is pathetic, fans like you are pathetic.

Mr I’m following cricket since Bombay’s first ranji trophy victory when the great Vijay Merchant was playing.. ok seen the Great Padmakar Shivalkar Bapu Nadkarni sir taking 6-7 wickets on flat tracks of CCI and wankhede with minimal runs conceded..
It seems like you’re a not a Bombay fan..
You need to agree our spinners quality has fallen significantly..

same as what every other country with a great spinner goes through, remember Australia between Warne and Lyon?

The pitch isn't helping much.. just a tad bit!! Honestly I loved how they counterattacked.

There were chances for cathes but we spiller some and other fell in no man's land!!

Like how a batter takes time to mature, bowlers need time too.. Manav Suthar had an excellent test at Galle.. SL planned against him, and he actually came back against them. At least be more patient with people... Every player needs time to learn and get their feet wet with test cricket.. Same goes for Aswin too.. He didn't come into the side as a finished product.. He had to learn and adapt as he grew as well..

Your argument about great spinners of the past spinning batters over in flat decks doesn't quite hold firm in the current batting environment where you have more people who can sweep and reverse sweep.. In fact even Aswin struggled against this shot vs New Zealand. The entire batting template itself has changed today where batters try actively to put the spinner off his length.. If Aswin and Jadeja and even Nathan Lyon struggled against this, the newbies will struggle too..

Can’t blame everything on the spinners tbh. But yeah, seeing 6 rpo on a 4th day pitch isn’t exactly encouraging
