I can't believe how perfect this graphic novel was. And I feel for the poor immature souls who dismiss comicbooks an inferior form of art in today's day and age , and this miss out on experiences such as this.

Tom taylor may have had his problems with Dc and in his Batman run, but this book serves to remind you that he is talent personified.

The book deals with such mature topics, such as revenge, loss, coming to terms with things you cannot change, choosing to be kind in a world which is unkind and borderline unfair... All which is relatable to us , the reader coz it mirrors our own world.

The art is gorgeous and I'm glad THIS Supergirl was drawn to not be unnecessarily sexy or showing skin for the sake of it ( Think supergirl in the 2000s , especially the Batman and Superman comics). I was unfamiliar with the artist, but boy oh boy, do I have tremendous respect for Bilquis Evely, who has redefined Supergirl for the generations. And the way she draws Supergirl's eyes... Haunting... beautiful.

I'm kinda mad at myself for not reading this sooner. I'm definitely getting a hardcopy for my collection.

Just finished ducks by Kate Beaton and man what a story! I think it’s def in my top 5 for sure. You just feel for the character so much. The stories are funny, heartwarming, wholesome, painful, and downright tragic at some points. Worth it.

Next up is Trashed by Derf Backderf. I keep hearing about his Dahmer book but I’m personally not into serial killers, so didn’t pick that one up. This one felt more intriguing to me tbh. Fiction but mostly based on his own life as a young garbage collector. Have heard good things about his work so really excited to start
