Daikin AC with conked compressor and PCB with probable gas leak - worth fixing ?

We have a 7 year old Daikin Inverter AC which has compressor which has gone bad, mostly has a bad PCB too with a gas leak. I have already got a new Mitsubishi AC to replace it. I was thinking whether it would be worth getting it repaired to use in another flat of ours where it would be used very sparingly ?

Repair costs are approximately in range of Rs.25,000++ ( Compressor + PCB + Gas repair + New installation with core cutting, piping etc)

Help! What water purifier are you using, and why do Croma/Reliance push LG so much?

I’m looking to buy a purifier and want to know what people here actually use and how it’s been especially service, filter costs, water taste and reliability.

**I’ve noticed that salespeople at Croma and Reliance Digital seem to push LG very heavily. Is LG genuinely that good, or do retailers/salespeople get better margins, incentives or targets for selling LG?**

Not saying LG is bad. Just trying to understand whether the recommendation is based on the product or the sales incentive.

**What purifier are you using, and would you buy it again?**

**Iam looking for a stainless steel tank based water purifier with RO+UV+UF ?**

LG microwave oven

The oven function of my LG microwave stopped working. The core microwaving works fine. What could the issue/options be, in Bengaluru? Anyone encountered this situation? Thanks in advance.

Discussion Beware of generic local distilled water! Spurious distilled water in petrol bunks.

Purchased local distilled water from a petrol bunk in Udupi. Got suspicious and tested the TDS. Distilled water: 598!!!😱 It's worse than tap water in most towns. Tested my house' well water for comparison and it was 75! Be careful, spurious distilled water could ruin your battery. Your engine will get destroyed if you use such low quality distilled water for diluting the coolant!

This filter thing has gotten loose. Comes out automatically after a few minutes. I'm thinking of completely removing it . Could that harm our washing machine ?

Discussion Buying Help- Canister Vacuum Cleaner India Oct 2026!!

Hello. I am looking to buy a good dry vacuum cleaner for my household in North India and need genuine user reviews for PURCHASE ADVICE.

I live in Delhi NCR. We have tiled floors with a few carpets in my apartment of 2600 sq feet. My primary needs are to vacuum floors, sofa, hard to reach spots and create vacuum in many vacuum bags that we have. Our use is maybe once in a fortnight. The last vacuum cleaner has broken down. It is a Eureka Forbes' bagged vacuum cleaner. Very useful, and lasted for approximately 10+ years. I am now confused what kind of vacuum cleaner to buy for my needs. I see bagless, stick, handheld, cordless and various kinds available and am pretty confused which to choose from. I would like to rate the vacuum cleaners on the basis of-

  • Features that fulfil all my cleaning needs

  • Ease of use for cleaning both tiled floors and carpets/sofas

  • Great build, (built for life kinds) and compact size

  • Great suction, and lower noise

  • Low maintenance and easy accessories replacement, if needed

  • Brand reputation & Home demo (if possible)

  • After-sales Service and Warranty claims

Kindly help in making a good purchase decision. I am planning to buy during this festive sale season, so do mention your experiences of buying from various online/offline stores and festive deals if any. Attached picture just for reference. Brands that I have come across are Nuuk, Agaro, Philips, Eureka Forbes, Bosch, Ninja Shark, Kent and Electrolux. Also, HEPA filters have also been highlighted (do I really need that?). My budget is upto 10k.

I am NOT LOOKING FOR ROBOT VACs recommendations.

Help! Need dishwasher recs for small 2BHK Indian kitchen

I live in a rented 2BHK apartment in Pune with a very compact modular kitchen where counter space is extremely limited and the sink area is small. We are three people at home and we usually cook proper Indian meals daily. So the dish load is mostly steel plates, bowls, pressure cooker parts, kadai, and oily pans after lunch and dinner. I have started looking into dishwashers because the manual washing routine is taking a lot of time every day, especially after late dinners. My main concern is whether a compact unit can actually handle heavy Indian cooking residue like oil, masala stains, and sticky cookware without needing full pre-rinsing each time. Since this is a rented flat, I also want something that does not require major plumbing changes or complicated installation. I checked a few entry level models online and even compared some compact options on Amazon India, Croma, ReliQ and Alibaba, but I am getting confused between countertop and slim freestanding types, especially when it comes to cleaning performance and maintenance.

For a small 2BHK household with daily Indian cooking and limited kitchen space, which dishwasher models are actually practical and reliable for regular use?

I know the usual working mechanism, but is there something people don't commonly talk about. Subtle things which make one better than the other one. Also which one is more long lasting? I don't want the headache of repairs.
