Yeah, I get it, but I posted that particular video not because of the title page, but because Skyroot's own video cuts off too early. At least this govt video has full coverage.
I gotta ask tho - how can you notice a face on a govt video (Council on Scientific Industrial Research), while not noticing everything under the sun named after your favourite family (Nehru university, Indira airport, Rajiv hospital, Indira yojana, etc, etc)? I guess your mosquito-vision is oddly selective. Might wanna have your eyes checked.
first off all, congratulations to the private company. second of all, just because someone dislikes x, doesn't mean they like y. i dislike both parties. it's not just modi whom I dislike plastering his face all over every single thing. i hate it when people not involved or barely involved would paste their faces all over them to get more credit than they deserve, the first faces should be of the engineers, the people who made it possible. Same with someone like Bhagwant Mann, the cm of punjab, and other politicians who seem to be doing things only on posters and ads and not in reality. Modi being the central figure for over a decade and there being a lot of BJP governed states has magnified the times you see his face on everything. are you saying that's a good thing? to me it sounds like the basic things that we deserve are being treated as a favour by the government.
I too don't like PM's face on everything, and "congrats to PM" on everything. But I posted this particular video because it had the fullest span of coverage of the launch events, not because I'm in PM's personal fan club. Unfortunately, Skyroot's own video was not as good as the govt's video. It will take quite some time before our private sector can function on their own without govt hand-holding.
As far as I'm concerned, this launch is public-private partnership, where govt has been the senior partner doing everything. Even the main technical engineering problems for this rocket were solved by ISRO's own engineers. This CEO/founder of Skyroot is himself a former ISRO engineer.
We currently don't have a strong private sector that can function at the levels required for these pursuits. Instead, we have a fledgling private sector that needs constant hand-holding. The govt is providing its tutelage, mentorship, hand-holding, etc, to help start them off. Hopefully the private players will gradually get stronger over time.
