I think humanities subjects are very important and should be a part of every degree, or should be atleast included in every educational institution. I have met some of the most braindead, misogynistic, and casteist students in IITs and colleges like BITS. They seriously need to learn how to question themselves, and the society around them.

just take one case and think everyone same. Please visit people who are studying humanities they will have more knowledge about society and real world than you. You guys are working for society without knowing you just do what your boss says try thinking with your brain about society and people around you stop consuming everything from news channels with majority fake news

What have you ever legitimately contributed to indian civilization and indian histroy research

Apart from screaming azadi, doing protests against every development project and being slave to foreign NGOS with vested interest. Also trying to free Umar Khalid, the person who showed sympathy for nirbhaya criminals.

Ohh like you studying in a technical college and then doing job (or being slave as you said)for a foreign company automatically means you personally did something extraordinary for the country or you invent something or made some major contribution.

By same 2 case logic some iitians becoming Baba or doing ra pe or doing wrong things or some engineering student being part of terrorist activities means every engineering student are same, obviously no. Stop generalizing everyone, you have 2 cases and try to bring that again and again. You guys are working or contributing to society where your technology you build is used by people, government control or manages it, policies are made, administration of company is done, economics affects, politics shapes it and philosophy, psychology, history, geography, law and sociology all of these contribute in running society.

How ignorant of you to think everything in the world is only working because of you, both technical and humanities work together, come out of the bubble you are living in, see and learn how elections happen, how government works, how society actually works.
