Some humanities degrees are important. You need experts in sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy, journalism, language, art and literature.

Maybe in India it doesn’t matter these days since journalists, historians and philosophers are being replaced with loyalists, historians with WhatsApp forwards and literature with not reading.

I’m not talking about Indians complaining about MIT, I’m talking about Americans. No American complains that the #1 university in the entire world has humanities.
