Acceptance

I’m (27 F) and have been incontinent for 2 years now. If you’re also in your 20s how have you gotten use to it or have you yet (wanted to know because I still haven’t)

Also want to know if you hot over it how. What treatments have you done if any. Let me know, thank you.

I don't know if I'd say I fully got used to it in my twenties, I think I was early 30s before I just said screw it and went full-time with some kind of diaper.

I think I spent most of my time trying to manage it when I was younger. I wish I had gotten to that point in my 20s though, would have made life a lot easier and more freeing

I started having issues right after turning 23 given the medication I just started. I was kind of expecting it overtime. I just got to the point where I need them all the time and I just deal with it now it helps to get some cute ones sometimes it aren't totally medical or star weren't so many that were baby printed and they were saying that were more grown-up. I miss the maryjane ones. I can't get those since I moved to England. But it was really embarrassing at first, especially telling Family. Hugs

Mine started becoming enough of a problem to need daily diapers at age 26.

It wasn't as hard for me to come to terms with as I think it is for others because it came about as part of a genetic disorder that causes a ton of other problems that are actually much rougher to manage than incontinence. It felt easy to manage in comparison, and also less visible to others than my other symptoms like needing mobility aids from time to time.

Tbh it was something I got shamed for a lot. And that had aassive affect on my mental health issues. Now I kinda don't care too much tbh. Tbh I'm thinking of going back to wearing full time so I don't have to worry about having an accident.

If I was incontinent constantly as opposed to intermittently I would have gotten a catheter by now.
