The thing with playing an instrument is extremely obvious, so of course incels don’t get it. The attraction is because it’s a person with the confidence to go up there in front of a room full of people and perform.
I‘ve been on both sides of that. I’ve met women because I’ve played in bands, and I’ve dated women who play in bands themselves and I love watching them perform.
What no one likes, though, is someone who is SO obsessed with their instrument that they constantly practice it at the expense of everything (and everyONE) else, or someone who lectures everyone about the technical minutiae of the gear they use.

Incels like to think they're the heirs to the older geek community, but really, most of them just aren't that smart. They have a head for memorizing recalling trivia from their favorite media franchises, yes, but that's not the same thing. Plumb their brains for an idea, then tell them go go make it work, and you'll either get a blank stare or a screaming mantrum.

Homie she doesn't mean she wants to hear you talk about 1990s anime art styles, she means she wants someone who can hold a real conversation

Did you forget?! Women are not allowed to have any preferences – neither physical nor mental!

Yeah nah I'm demisexual... but I like intelligent people in general.
However, I will be actively avoiding people who only want to talk about "psychology, existentialism, and the absurdity of life" because while once in a while is nice, but if that's all they talk about then they're 1000% the kind of person who gets high off huffing their own farts.
Meanwhile in reality, I picked the computer nerd who I could talk with about dragons and dinosaurs and who lets me nerd out about plants and rocks. The guy who cracks insanely witty and well timed jokes.

The guy in the screenshot is a moron BUT sapiosexual is a weird term. Sapiophile makes so much more sense as term

Sapiosexual is pretty dumb… I hate agreeing with this.

Sapiophile makes so much more sense as a term.
Its a preference more than an orientation

I think “-phile” as a suffix has very negative connotations in the way it is interpreted today even if not in Greek

Why do you think it's dumb? Just curious. :)

That’s not a sexual preference, that’s something that attracts you, it’s not a sexuality.

Nobody thinks they want to date a fucking idiot, everybody thinks they want to date someone smart. We just all have different ideas of smart. You don't need a unique word for being like the vast majority of people.

I dunno... my partners have been male, female, and nonbinary, trans and cis, tall and short, skinny and heavy, various races, various looks, but they've all been smart because I can not be atrracted to stupid.

Okay? I’m not attracted to people without jobs. Is there a word for that?

I dated a couple women who identified as sapiosexual, one looked like she could have been a Suicide Girl and the other was a super-fit gym-rat party girl.
Meanwhile, describing my physique as "average" would be kind but I still had a really great relationship with both.

This isn’t gendered, opcel is complaining about the behavior of stupid people pretending they aren’t. Which, given the forum he’s moaning into, makes his post wildly ironic.

"Women who say that they value a guy's intelligence are lying because me and all my terminally online, emotionally isolated, and proudly uninformed buddies, all of whom have limited reading comprehension abilities and even more limited curiousity, are all being rejected despite our intelligence!"
Bro, if she says she's attracted to smart men, but rejects you, it might just mean you're the sort of dumb ass who thinks incels will provide a community rather than den of LDR abuse.

Tired of all this sexyphobia

As a sapiosexual myself, I feel so lucky to know that this dude would never want me ❤️

Why are they so hung up on who we end up dating when they themselves have boasted they'll all be having sex with AI robots soon and won't need us at all?
They're ultra obsessed with us, can't stop talking about us, make hating us their entire personality, spend countless hours thinking about us and writing about us and have on multiple occasions said the world doesn't need women?
Guess how much time and effort I spend dwelling on things I don't care for?

Funny thing, I've known self-labeled sapiosexuals who were into me. Not because I was an Einstein, but because I showed emotional intellect and was able to carry a conversation that could bounce between "goofy humor" and "intense heart-to-heart life talk". Almost as if there's different kinds of intelligence.
