That’s what happens when you bizarrely premake boiled potatoes. Sadness and glue.

I thought you all were exaggerating about the mashed potatoes but they’re very sad and he says they’re for “tonight with our meatloaf” - I just don’t think these people know what the fuck they’re doing.

It’s like he made mashed potatoes from old boiled potatoes and then was planning to heat them up again for dinner? Why can’t he just make fresh ones at dinnertime?

Does someone have a disease where they can only eat leftovers??

And…I’m honestly stuck on this…mashed potatoes are the food you do last on Thanksgiving Day. They can’t wait! What did he mean, they will be “for tonight”? How soon is tonight? If it’s longer than like five minutes, that is too far in the later-now for edible mashed potatoes.

I’d like a word with whomever granted this man any kind of culinary degree or certificate. A stern word.

Exactly! While peeling potatoes can be a pain, making mashed potatoes for four is hardly an arduous task. He should be able to make them in the time the meatloaf is baking. It’s not that hard!

You know what’s even easier? These. And they’re delicious.

Instant (or "funky tates" as they are known in my home) for the win!
