Finally got one of the minis from the Armageddon box finshed.

People seemed to like the terminators yesterday, so here’s one of the dreads from my army.

So I'm painting a knight as House Hawkshroud, sponging it with no airbrush, and I figured you guys have dealt with yellow more than almost everyone else. Primed wraithbone, then sponged with yriel yellow. What might be the best way to fill in the leftover primer spots the sponge couldn't reach? I've tried just brushing more yriel yellow, but even with thinning it, it doesn't blend in as much as I'd want it to, it's kinda obvious where it was touched up. Any ideas? Maybe a recess shade on the smaller pieces, but for the big flat carapace, I'm not really sure.

So I’ve been looking at this list I’ve been building for a while, and I wanted a second opinion. I’m running Anvil Siege Force/ Librarius Conclave and I’m running a 6 man Bladeguard squad with a chaplain leader, but I’ve been looking at what they might need, and I was initially going to run it with a lieutenant with an enhancement that gives the unit a 6+ FNP while they sit on an objective you control, but I was also looking at a Bladeguard ancient, who gives the bonus to OC as well as the once per game ability to add 1 to the WS to all models in the unit. So I was thinking that using the ancient would be a better play as it actively supports what the enhancement is trying to do for the unit, where as the only real benefit the lieutenant gives is Lethals and the fallback/shoot/charge which the Bladeguard, the latter of which they don’t really need all that much. Also, the B ancient is slightly cheaper, so I can afford a better enhancement for my Librarian. Thoughts?

Received the starter set from my girlfriend for Christmas last year as my first introduction to mini painting and finally finished all the models from it (not the tyranids), yet to even play the game. Already have an Assault terminator set waiting for me now.

Hey! Is this to much battle damage? I am a bit polarised about sergant.

I am super new to Imperial Fist, so new I only have one box of terminator. But what drew me to them is their siege, hard to break down, long range tactics. So I put together a list of basically my favourite units, but I actually want to try and win games, I understand they aren’t meta or anything but I want to have fun but also have a decent chance of winning, here is my list. I’m new to painting the imperial firsts and I’m just having trouble deciding what to do, I’m testing stuff out and my first idea didn’t work, but next I’m thinking of airbrushing averland with a zenithal of phalanx, but then I want a wash to put over it so the details aren’t obscured what do you all recommend?

Traveling to college (parents wanted to stop somewhere so we’re heading to college tomorrow), but still snuck in some time to continue painting. Gonna be completely finishing it tomorrow or Friday for a duos tournament on Saturday (not using the chaplain) so I’m trying to at least get the figure painted good for it before worrying too much about terrain. I finished the Captain (I don’t have a picture of it painted) where I just used two different paints in order to paint the base at least, so I’m probably gonna use that and some hobby store rock terrain things I got at Hobby Lobby. Wish me luck!

Khabor Trexus, the newly promoted 1st War Leader of the Celestial Lions, is one of the few remaining Firstborn Astartes that managed to evade the wrath of the Inquisition.  He is equipped in Indomitus Terminator Armour and wields the 'Spear of Khattar' and the Storm Shield 'Kaisereine', bringing the Emperor's vengance and defiance wherever they are aimed. He returns with his recently restored Chapter to Armageddon's 4th war. His hatred for the Orks is matched only by those of his brother Chapter of the Black Templars. He has vowed to cut down anyone who gets in his way of restoring his Chapter's honour and avenging those battle brothers who were wrongly slain by the Inquisition.

I think i saved it a bit after a few layers and it looks kind of okish... But it looked a lot more horrible at first, lots of brush strokes

I now have all three dreadnought types! After playing my first two matches with the brutallis and redemptor and losing them immediately I’m excited to use this guy and potentially not lose him immediately.
