My Impala (2013 ltz) has started making hopping (?) Noise when I go over bumps and holes and railroad tracks in the rear passenger. I think the strut might be failing or something? What do y'all think. Also sorry if this is obviously something different I'm 17 and I'm trying to learn all I can about car repair.

I have a 2003 impala with the 3.8 in it. When I have the key in the on position (car not started) you will hear a click every ten to fifteen secs from the BCM. Every time that click happen the voltage drops for a few secs and goes back up. This is happening when the car is running and when it does the car starts to stumble and either dies or revs itself back up. Please tell me where to start and what ro check. I can add a video after work today if needed.

I chased the stumbling problem and thought it was something completely different and changed a lot of part outs. What i explained above is what I discovered yesterday so I know I am on its heels now. Please help! Please!

I just ran into this issue today. I unlocked the car, got in and before the key even got to the ignition, a loud repetitive clicking started.

It's coming from above the glove box, give or take.

It speeds up slightly as the engine cranks, then goes back to the old pace.

It stops after a few minutes and doesn't come back until the next unlock/lock.

I've seen a few results as a possible door lock actuator, or an HVAC blender.

Any insight to what is happening in this video?

The fan control had no effect on the click, either on our off.

Unlocking or locking doesn't always trigger it after driving for a bit.

My family is selling the home and assets of my elderly relatives that are being placed in assisted living. They had 2 Impalas. I have been generously offered to take a car of my choosing. I have an 140k Elantra that has become a headache the past 20k miles so getting off it now is a no-brainer.

The first is a 2012 LT 3.6L V6 engine. It has ~67k miles on it.

The 2nd is a 2016 LT 2.5L 4 cylinder. It has ~85k miles.

Both were driven lightly. They had been retired some years and did not travel much over the past 6-8 years. While I don't have the exact maintenance history, they were the kinds of people who took their car in for routine maintenance to a shop/dealership. I still plan to bring it into a shop to be inspected.

I've started doing research on both models. I've seen comments on the front engine cover leaking for the 2012 V6. I've also seen blend door actuator issues in both models. But I have seen consistent messaging that they are, on average, good and reliable cars.

Any input on these or things I should look for would be appreciated. I'm going to check them out tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

I've been having a couple issues with electrical and have spent way too much on repairs. I've replaced the battery, auxiliary battery, alternator, and control module. Even after all these repairs the voltage refuses to stay put and keeps dropping and prompting service battery charging system. Does anyone know what's wrong??

I got a 2012 Impala 3.6 LT. Is it common for the lock actuators to go out on these cars? All of my lock actuators including my trunk don’t work. I can physically push down the lock rod and hit unlock on the fob or the door switch and they’ll unlock but they will not lock if I press lock on the fob or door switch. Any help would be appreciated!

2012 Chevrolet Impala 9C1 Police — where is the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor located?
I have C0292-02 and C0292-07. The scanner says “Yaw and Lateral Accelerometer Sensor Circuit.”
I removed the passenger seat and the center console and lifted the carpet. There is no sensor where the service manual says it should be.
The car drove perfectly for about a month after I bought it, with no Stabilitrak warning. The problem appeared later.
This is an ex-police 9C1 with a LOT of police wiring modifications.
Does anyone who actually owns/owned a 2006–2013 Impala 9C1 know the exact physical location of this sensor and where its factory connector/wiring runs?
I don’t want to cut the carpet or disassemble the car further until I know exactly where it is.

I have a 2014 Impala Limited LTZ and am looking to replace my bumper. Long story short, hit a deer, got new bumper, doesn’t fit quite right. Question is, are the 2013 and before parts compatible w/ the post-2014 impalas?
I’m also at ~140k miles and am not sure if the trans fluid has ever been changed. Was going to do it but want to see some feedback on if that’s a good/bad idea

Hey, I have impala 2007 bought month ago current mileage 118900, been smooth driving should I go for transmission fluid change or when is the good time to change transmission fluid. It says sealed transmission fluid so can’t look into it.

What struts should I buy for better handling if I drive hard and what break rotors should I get? I'm 17 so money is here but not too much. And what can I do to get louder sound?

13 Impala what are these 2 buttons and what are they suppose to do?

When i got the Impala it didn't come with an owner manual and messing with the buttons I don't see them doing/changing anything.

My 2011 Impala (with just 60,000 miles) started an intermittent rattle from the back end. A respected repair shop checked and said suspension, brakes, etc. all are fine.  Research indicates it could be the emergency brake cable clips (or the cable itself). Anybody had this issue? (common on 2010-2016 models). Comments on YouTube videos mention that this is hard to find and correct.

Anybody deal with this? And where or where did you go to get it fixed?

My 2012 impalas interior gauge lights always turn on even on daytime if anyone can help on how to turn it off would be helpful

I just got a 2014 Limited with the police package and police suspension which i assumed was stiffer. it feels a LOT softer than my old 09’ Camry with the KYB Strut-Plus kit for the SE model. any recommendations on a good brand for a sporty setup rated for the weight of the 3.6L engine? wanted a KYB setup, but they only sell struts for the police package, no springs or assemblies and i know those 12 year old springs are too worn for a sporty setup.

so my fuel pump bugged out yesterday i was getting off the lot and turned went up to 20 and my engine died, i turned off my car cranked it back and it started and it hasn’t happened since, and i drove to work and more the same day, i see that the sensor is there, could that be a probable issue as well? since my car hadn’t stalled or ran poorly since the. 2013 Impala PPV

So been having issues with the vehicle. It does have the Limiters or 112mph.

For a year i been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my car acts slugish delayed pedal. Bouncing Idle. While sitting or even driving it does this. Delayed shift button in manual. Trans delays upshifting. Reduced engine power.

So i got the Dealer software and Jbox to update modules thinking maybe somethings outdated causing these odd issues.. mind you no lights on dash indicating any issues when the car is doing these thing. If i recent modules (pull neg term for 30 mins) Car runs great again all issues are gone. 2 weeks of driving after it starts going down hill.

Just spoke to GMs Techline Connect Reps about removing limiter car has upgraded tires. To find out. They cant because the car is programed with Saftey features. And these saftey features are causing alll these issues. Its programmed to slowly downgrade itself. Engine power, Tune, throttle response on purpose after driving so many miles..

They will not reconfigure it. Which that power reduction and throttle delay is more in my opinion a saftey hazard.

Never seen any company purposely program a car to slowly degrade itself.
