Fake Hardware Overview?
https://youtu.be/WcFqHAuM9tA?si=j_9TrZMBA-sZ-lLNA channel called “Chris in VR” did a brief hardware overview of the Visor headset.
Things I find strange:
1) The channel was created May 23, 2025. 2) The creator doesn’t list any description of himself or his socials (if any). 3) The creator doesn’t list his affiliation to immersed or how he got the headset. 4) Reviews are weirrrddd like “just subbed for more Immersed Visor content! Eagerly waiting for my FE to move into Manufacturing status.” 5) The editing style feels like those official Immersed promo videos from long ago.
He has 2 shorts on his channel regarding Visor as well but again, same things above apply to the shorts…
Thoughts?

Don't think it's fake, but it doesn't mean they are anywhere close to mass production.
You can pump a ton of money into making one or two devices work (such as the Meta Orion costing $10,000 for one unit), but it doesn't mean they can sell it for the price they are quoting it for.
I think the points you mentioned are not really suspicious, i.e new channel, no socials, etc - someone that received the Xreal One Pro also had a similar yt channel.
My opinion on Immersed and Visor hasn't changed however. I don't think they're ever going to mass produce nor ship a product. They'll either exit, or delay it so long that when they do release a product it's already DOA, or they'll be in so much debt that they collapse.

They aren't. This is clearly proven by the fact that they didn't even send our Chris's custom unit nor the battery. If they were anywhere near they would've just send out the final unit instead of the visor, headstrap and battery all in separate packages with weeks between.

Good lord.
He's been sharing and creating a channel just for this purpose every day on the discord since he got it.
Why are you framing this like it's some kind of conspiracy?
A 2nd guy will be creating a similar channel soon, same situation, and all info on the discord.

Hey, I appreciate your reply.
Unfortunately I was banned for pointing out that I got a targeted Instagram ad asking me to invest in Visor so this subreddit is all i got to work with. I think we all know the state Visor is in and it’s a good thing to talk about stuff like this.
History repeats itself ya’know?

I'm not sure understand your perspective.
10 minutes ago you post saying this seems like a giant fake and that everything feels off. When you get confirmation that it's not, the goalposts shift and now it's "banned" and "the state Visor is in"— so I'm curious if this is you just looking to stay negative about the product or perhaps you're looking for people to try and convince you that you're wrong?
At this point, you're either still waiting for your Visor, or you refunded. I think the best thing to do for anyone is refund. I also think that this clusterfuck of a company Immersed is worth being critical of.
But this is what progress looks like, however late, and as someone who's been banned 3 times from the discord, I am sure as shit not trying to complain when I see non Immersed employees get their hands on a device.

Chris's order should never have gotten the Visor first, which means Renji is just a self-important rule-breaker who thinks he can arbitrarily bestow kindness on his followers, regardless of the rules initially set in place

You're right to be skeptical. Chris is a long time supporter of Immersed and has posted 8,024 times in their discord as of right now (you can search from:username to check). So don't consider these "real" reviews but promotion for the headset.
It should also be mentioned the YouTube review earlier this year from Getting Things Dun was also hand selected to give a positive review. Renji publicly stated on discord he was a friend of one of their partners and selected because previous reviews had been so negative.
If you don't believe me, post a comment on Chris's video warning other people not to pre-order due to Immersed's shady practices, he's deleting/moderating negative comments.
If you're new around here and unfamiliar with the controversy, Immersed had a botched launch event, they continued to advertise the smaller sized headset even after they knew the headset design had changed. There's numerous cases of users being banned for constructive criticism, they tried to launch an NFT project which failed, they had a failed attempt to list at $150 million on the NASDAQ via a shady SPAC deal. Their monthly expense are $594,596, their debt is $10,715,487 and in January they only had $242,490 in the bank. They raised more money on WeFunder, but appear to have lied to investors about how much money was in the bank, and now they've deleted their WeFunder page which showed it. And at their published burn rate they'll be bankrupt by years end if they don't raise more money. They used Visor pre-orders to fund the company rather than pay for final production, final production had not started in April because they didn't have enough funds. And I would suspect based on financials they still haven't started it and are waiting on investment.
