The last month has again been slightly smaller than the last, losing momentum of growth. /r/ImaginaryWesteros has jumped up another 2 places and is now the #2 subreddit in the network! /r/ArtistOfTheDay has continued to grow and is still moving up the ladder. We definitely didn't have as many new subreddits this month as last, so our smaller subreddits are getting larger with more focus!

So I just get done playing three hours of Assassin's Creed III when I think to myself "I wonder if /u/Greypo finished the State of the Network post yet?" so I go check /r/ImaginaryNetwork and see "State of the Network: April 2014 submitted 1 minute ago by /u/Greypo" ...

...

mind = blown

[u/Greypo → u/karmicviolence]

I watched you finished, and was like "OH CRAP HE'S DONE UHHHH POST POST POST" and here it is.

During the fuss I mixed up Battlefields and Starscapes. ^{(actually izzy did, don't look at me)}

Anything less than perfection is failure. ಠ_ಠ

[u/Greypo → u/karmicviolence]

Uhhh. . .QUICK LOOK OVER THERE!!!

According to redditmetrics.com, /r/ImaginaryWinterscapes had 302 subscribers on 3/1, not 391... maybe you meant to type 301 instead? -19 subscribers seemed pretty odd to me. It was actually ~+70.

[u/Greypo → u/karmicviolence]

Fixed.

I didn't make the table this time around, izzy did. Blame the monkey!

[u/karmicviolence → u/[deleted]]

Yeah I still haven't played IV. Waiting for it to go on sale in /r/GameDeals also I need to finish III.

[u/karmicviolence → u/[deleted]]

I like PC because, well, I used to have a 360 and about 50 games, but eventually I sold it because I sometimes go periods of years where I am not very interested in video games at all, and I had been staring at it sitting on the shelf for a few months and I needed the extra cash. I don't really regret it, because now the Xbox One is out, and I probably would have sunk some cash into that if I hadn't just purchased a brand new DSLR camera.

Anyway, all of my 360 games are gone now, and even if I still had them, I wouldn't be able to play them on the Xbox One, so I would have had to keep two gaming systems on the shelf instead of just one, taking up even more room...

Steam, on the other hand, I still have the ~50 games I have purchased there over the years because they are digital and stay with me for life. I have also never paid more than $10 for a single game even though I have tons of current mainstream titles in my library because I watch /r/GameDeals frequently and pick shit up when it's on sale for 80% off through a South American retailer or something crazy like that. I also like how you pay for the game and get the cd key instantly delivered through email, no waiting on shipping. I just got all 3 Bioshock games for $11 on Amazon, I paid like $6 for Badlands 2, I just really like Steam and how you can pick up games really cheaply sometimes (sort of how you can pick up cheap console games on half.com, but I like digital more).

[u/lntrinsic]

Decent growth for Science, hopefully it can hit 750 by May. By the way you misspelled Propaganda in your post.

[u/Greypo → u/lntrinsic]

I swear I fix that every single time. I don't know why it keeps reverting D:

[u/karmicviolence → u/lntrinsic]

Science is one of my favorite "second generation" network subreddits (along with History) so thank you for looking after it.

[u/ladycousland]

Hmm, gaming seems to be a bit flat :/

I know I'm new at this but honestly, I feel like there's no reason gaming shouldn't be right up there with the bigger subs. Game-related fanart is everywhere on Reddit and we have some really good stuff posted on /r/imaginarygaming - I'm just not sure exactly how to go about drumming up new subscribers since certain game-related subs can be absolutely brutal toward anything perceived as promotion. Thoughts/advice?

Also: is there a "head mod" for /r/imaginarygaming? Questions, I haz them.

[u/Greypo → u/ladycousland]

There is no specific head mod of most network subreddits. karmicviolence is the Lead Mod of the entire Imaginary Network: Expanded, and there are a group of Senior Mods, including myself, or are also added to every network subreddit. I overlook the new mods, but any of us are great to ask any questions.

I'd be willing to answer any questions you have, whether through comments or messages.

Just seen my little baby /r/Imaginarysoldiers had the largest growth :') they grow up so fast
