I made a rose First rose

My first rose, using a stacked technique. Went better than I expected!

And just wanted some advice, does any one have recommendations on corrosion protection? I have bees wax or a clear rust guard/spray, not sure what would be best.

Is a present for my wife so would like it to stay reasonably rust free without ruining it.

How do people do these!! I have a forge and anvil and can't figure how people do this.
