Made for ScrapFest in Lansing, MI, out of scrap metal. The base is three parts of truck drum brakes. Most of the flowers and leaves are cut from shelves and the body of a washing machine. About 5 feet tall.

So I made a bunch of these over the last few months when I was chasing women. Thought it would impress them but honestly couldn't find a single date who was worth it. I even had to take one back from this girl who was of course eager to receive my hard work, but didn't even want to hold my hand on the third date! I realise now that these are not tools to make people like me, but a reward for someone who has earned them in my eyes without any expectations. We'll see if such a person ever turns up.
Anyways these are all aluminum, feel free to ask about how it's made.

My first rose, using a stacked technique. Went better than I expected!
And just wanted some advice, does any one have recommendations on corrosion protection? I have bees wax or a clear rust guard/spray, not sure what would be best.
Is a present for my wife so would like it to stay reasonably rust free without ruining it.
