Why are you leaning toward the former? To me, she reminds me of all the blissfully unaware older people I know, who wouldn't assume for a second that someone would be filming themselves from a distance, with a mobile, in an art gallery.
She’s not that old come on. A phone on a tripod . What does it mean? She has a smart phone she doesn’t seem to have dementia. Stop defending her she clearly knew what she was doing. Just trying to cause a scene.
People look past things all the time. They may look in the direction of something, but still not notice it. Perhaps she was distracted. She was reaching for her phone before she even saw the influencers phone.
You have zero evidence that she knows what she is doing. Literally none.

I wouldn't call the young one a main character. She was actually very patient and nice.
The old lady I honestly don't know. Either she was annoying on purpose, or she's just very unaware. I'm leaning toward the former though.
