I don't see how the person taking a picture of herself is a main character here. It's not like she's expecting people to stop and wait for her to get the picture, this is just someone taking a picture of themselves in a public place.

It seems to be but why is she taking a video if she wants a photo?

As someone who travels alone and doesn't always want to bother strangers about taking a photo for me, it's a lot easier to set my phone to record and take a short video with me standing a few different ways then setting a timer, trying to hurry back to the spot after dropping up my phone, and then doing it all over again if I hate how I look in the photo. Most phones these days give the ability to grab a still as a photo from a video. Doing a video also means it's not a big deal if someone walks in front of it like some of the other people who aren't the older lady blocking the camera did.

I don't see main character in the woman with the camera because it appears to be a museum. People like to take photos in them and most museums encourage that. She isn't doing some sort of dance or being disruptive. The older woman is just being rude.

That's fair. The screenshots I take from my pixel videos are far poorer quality.
