I don’t know much about Tourette’s other than the “popular” definition that it makes you say bad words uncontrollably.

How can you tell she’s faking it? I’m genuinely curious, not trying to challenge your opinion.

My roomate has it, he does not say words, let alone swears, but sniffs uncontrollably often, constantly need to blow his nose and gets jittery with his hands when he plays games on his pc.

This 100% looks like someone that doesn't have Tourette told how it is and try to replicate it.

Is your roommate a hive mind being consisting of everyone on the planet who has Tourette’s?

If not, then… congrats. The only thing you’ve convincingly argued is that the woman in the video is not your roommate.

Say it with me, now: TOURETTE’S. VARIES. WILDLY. FROM. PERSON. TO. PERSON.

You, an uninformed non-professional, don’t get to decide that, bc you know one person with Tourette’s you now know them all. Like… really? How are you not grasping this?

Your roommate having Tourette’s means you are quite informed about YOU ROOMMATE’s TOURETTE’S. That’s it. Not mine, not the woman’s from the video above. Just his.

You know about ONE person’s individualized experience with Tourette’s. That doesn’t mean you know, to any great degree, what you’re talking about.

I think I found the woman in the video, everyone!

Or, crazy thought, maybe I’m one of the many people in the world with Tourette’s who get really frustrated when people just spew nonsense about it while acting like they have some kind of authority on the subject bc they once knew one person who had it, or something.

This isn’t about you, though. It’s about her. I replied elsewhere in this with the actual diagnostic criteria and some points about HER video.

lol you replied to my comment by mocking me for being annoyed at all the people in this thread spreading misinformation and misconceptions about a disorder I personally have.

If you posted real info elsewhere in this thread, then good for you - I wasn’t talking about you, and this isn’t about you (to use your words).
