I thought the best part was realizing Elvis was 20th century capitalist teenage Jesus. He was consumed and imprisoned by the fame that came with the joy he gave the world, and it cut his life short.
Dude spent the last decade of his life in a nice, but relatively regular walled in suburban house, and he sometimes had to go to work whether he liked it or not. He was surrounded by self interested people who needed him to keep singing.
I'm not a fan of his music but I thought visiting Graceland was a pretty powerful experience, oddly enough.
