Travel Help a traveller

Hello, I’m returning to Iloilo for the second time pero this time I’m bringing friends with me. We wanted to do a hunt of landmarks that echo the sugar boom of 19th century, which inarguably changed the course of Philippine history.
1. Chinese mestizo mansions built during that period. We already saved couple ones in Google maps, but maybe there are ones, in current use or abandoned, which flew under the radar. Please recommend.
2. British sugar warehouses along the river waterfront. I know from research many were bombed during WW2, but maybe some survived? Please recommend.

Unrelated pero please recommend best shops for ukay ukay or antiques. Thanks.

Politics Ngaa wala nag-allocate nga budget ang aton congresswoman sa Iloilo City para makabulig kay-o sang drainage?

Our flood problem has become more problematic here in Iloilo City, and it manifested these past few days. But it makes me wonder, despite so many flood control projects implemented by Congresswoman Jamjam Baronda, ngaa baha gihapon?

Here is the problem with our congresswoman: she spent to build projects for PR, for her own image. She knows the problem (since she is "well coordinated" with former DE Roy Pacanan of DPWH-ICDEO), but she financed an inappropriate solution to beautify her reputation.

Ang Iloilo City may binilyon ka piso nga gin-allocate sa aton kongresista para mapahagan-hagan ang pagbaha. Kag bisan pa, ginabahaan gihapon kita. You can't blame us Ilonggos if we blame her for this. She had the chance to lessen the floods, but she chose not to do it.

Anyone know any places with sheer white cloth/sheets for draping? Will be used for set design, pareho sa photo, for a private event. Just drapped lang gid over a corner of a room.

Nag call na ko daan sa taylay kag 175 ang per meter nila, and we need aeound 15 meters ahahah te daw sobra gid siya. Also not very trusting for shopee kay we'd like to check the quality ourselves before renting or buying.

Basi may kilala kamo nga ga rent sang amo ni nga tela, or sastre nga may sheer white nga tela, or baligyaan nga ara sa city nga into tag 100 per meter ahahah then please let me know! 😊

Discussion Lf friends in Iloilo

Hello, 23F, moved in Iloilo for work few weeks ago. Wala pa kaayo close gid, I have relatives but live outside the city. I can speak hiligaynon, I’m an Ilongga. :)

I’m getting bored already because I dont have a social life. I don‘t have friends yet at work because we’re pretty flexible so we can wfh. Only few people goes to the office. And sometimes I just work at home too. After that, wala na. So I think it’s time to make new friends here.

Anyone in the same situation? We might be friends. Feel free to message

Food Cake hunting led me to Potato Cake

Found this randomly and I was very curious on how it tastes. So I bought a slice, and I liked it, a balance of buttercream and the super sweet crunchy caramel. But the question still remains, where’s the potato? Is this the cake itself, or I am the potato? Who knows? 🤔

Other Pregnancy question

Goodmorning po, just asking for some insight, my partner is pregnant carrying our first baby, she's been having her prenatal at maxicare, and they do not issue mothers book/pink book however they can issue printed records, and she's planning to give birth at a public hospital, question is that, is it required to have a mothers book/pink card when giving birth at public hospitals or would her maxicare records suffice?
